Woohoo! I totally spotted the correlation between graphical errors and AMD.

I'm in the corrupt ship models group. I'll put together an archive with a save game, err file, and screenshots tomorrow. Posting in thread just to commit myself to doing it since I should have already done it today.

Fascinating. I have this bug as well. I'm just about to do what Kryo suggested, but wanted to put this bit of information out publicly. I have basically the same last line of the err log for my last two crashes. My most recent being: Debug Message: BuildShip: Cannot build ship type 14-Constructor M31-5 at Carinoids IV - No open slots I'm going to crash the game a couple more times to see just how much variation there is in that last line.
