is there a way in the tech tree editor to make multiple required techs for one tech? i mean the tech trees atm are very linear you might get 2 or 3 techs that branch off of one tech but i want to set a few where you need to have 2 or even three techs before you can get a certain tech

im not sure if this is the right place but im trying to build a custom map what i want to do is make walls around all the major races starting positions with open ends towards the middle of the map. the idea being that all ships will then be forced to travel through the centre of the map before being able to enter another races controlled space however with the map editor ive come across too many barriers to complete my map so im wondering if theres a way i can add a cu
well im not trying to block off essentially i wanted to create 8 sections forcing all players to go throguh the centre of the map if youve ever played warcraft 2 BNE a version of the all you need map
ok im creating my own basic map and ive hit 2 problems 1 is the fact that i cant put anything within 3 tiles of the edge and the second is that i can only place 500 asteroid fields im creating an immense map and using the fields to create walls is there a way i can overcome these issues or is there another object i can place that will prevent ship passage?
ok ive managed to get it to recognize that dark avatar and twilight are installed but it wont recognize that the base game is installed btw i had the gold edition so the game and darkavatar in one pack they would have both been installed

so i just installed galciv 2 , dread lords, twilight and am trying to update the game before i play however when using sdcentral it says updates are available yet tells me the url is invalid and wont download and when i try impulse it tells me i dont have the game installed and wants me to download all the games and install them again evan tho they are already installed is there a way i can just download the patches without using innefective programs like impulse and sd
base planet was 36 and when i colonized it got an option to increase the planets base quility by 40% bumping it up to a whopping 50 unfortunately i messed up and diddent pick any racial ability's and forgot to take of ascension victory so i had to restart that game

so heres what i want to do take a pre-existing ship and upgrade it ie take something off / add something move this here etc the problem i have is that when i choose a ship and choose to upgrade it everything gets removed before i can start on it this has been a minor inconvenience for me since i go and place new things only to find out at the last minute critical items have been left off i went to upgrade a colony ship to add a second colony module found i had room to add an e
i think i see my major issue i like to play with as few planets as possible rare planets and rare habitable planets essentially all the major races start out with a quality 10 planet and a quality 4 planet nearby and all the minor races have a planet and thats it in the entire map so the population rush method that seems to be a requirement almost to get out of money loss doesent work
ok so im having a little trouble with this game no matter what i do i cant get above the red line the only thing i can manage is by not doing anything i can stay economic neutral. ive tried researching eco techs ive put in eco resourses near my home planets ive made planets devoted to eco and nothing gets me out of debt ive played as traders and anything else i can come up with if i raise my taxation lvl my approval drops and i will have less people paying taxe
ive noticed since dark avatar that all survey ships when set to auto survey go directly to an anomalie evan if the they should not be aware of the anomalie (eg an anomalie in unexplored space) since toa ive noticed that enemy constructors will do the same and head straight for the nearest resource node i spend turns and turns looking for them only to have a civ halfway across the universe pop up a starbase within 2 sectors of my homeworld is this supposed to be like this ? <
im wondering if theres a way to eithar modify a saved game map or if theres ways to modify the random placement of planets / stars in a map when using map editor what i want to set up is an immense map with limited stars/ planets and abundant resources/anomilies however when i hit randomize it generates way to many planets/stars for my liking and i dont want to place them all individually because then the universe will seem to organized also it doesent generate any asteroid field
