Forgot to mention, I have the version of the game that includes galaciv, dark avatar and twilight. I am having this issue under twilight, I am not playing without the twilight expansion so I havent checked the problem under dark or without expansions....but I dont imaging that should make any differance.

I have had this happen on both Vista and Windows 7 (both ultimate edition). The default mods path is set to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock Games\GalCiv2\Mods\Default". I cannot change it, it doesnt show any options (I have several mod folders in the "mods" folder), and if I make a mods folder named "default" it doesnt use any of it. At best I have been able to make the default path disappear and am left with nothing. Has anyone else experianced this? I get galaciv via impulse. I had it load
A real quick after-thought, I would LOVE to see a GalCiv version of this: http://www.cybernations.net/ I think Stardock would do an outstanding jobe of it...and it would be extreamly addicting IMO, as well as platform independant. :
Really sucks. I diddnt know about Loki until after they went bankrupt. I played GalCiv 1 and LOVED it! I was really hoping to get into GalCiv 2 but ive been doing alot of work with Linux lately and ive made a decision not to purchase any more games that will not run on Linux. Im trying to be completly Microsoft independant, and World of Warcraft is my last obsticle (I already had it and im GM of a fairly large guild.....but once im finished with Wow, then ill have nothing holding me
Does GalCiv 2 run on Linux (I cant find platform specs anywhere on the website) and if not are there any plans to port it to Linux?
