I don't know if there is another thread that has discussed this, but I wanted to get people's opinion on trade goods and relations (or lack there of) to trade routes. I love many aspects of Gal Civ but the only thing that has bothered me is how trade goods are more like patent licenses than actual goods for trade. Unless I am mistaken, they are really little more than additional technologies tied to unique buildings that can be traded once to the other races with no lasting benefit t

I had this problem too. This is what I found works. Load a game from DA where your target ships are available and moddify them (I added two lights, nothing pieces) and save as them as templates under new names (i.e. Cruiser-->Cruiser Twilight). Hi I am trying to create new weapons using Twilights component editor and am failing. I created the custom techs to correspond with the new weapons, which show up in game, but the actual components will not. I believe I am doing everything correct because my custom Space Miner, Colony Ship, and Flagship all appear at the start of the gam
I have both GCII and DA on my PC, and I really like them. However, I can't carry my desk top with me. Recently, I bought a Mac Book Pro and was wondering if Stardock had any plans to bring the game to Mac platform. I know that I could always install Bootcamp on my Mac and then run the game through Windows, but I would prefer a program designed for my laptop's intended OS. Thanks
