I'm playing the new Thalan right now and I can't see to find any food improvements. Are Thalan locked at max 6b per planet? The AI rarely researches the farm techs so it isn't like I can trade for it.

I'm playing a game as Thalan on tough with 9 computer races. They seem extremely passive. Even mid-game they are barely launching ships and have no defenders. I figured something was wrong when they barely rushed any planets but I was concentrating on developing Thalan's economy. By the time I was looking at them again it became obvious something was wrong with them. I kept playing just to see if they would develop something in response to me but it didn't happen. This must be a bug

I'm finding the Thalan almost unplayable because of money. Even with a slow-mo planet rush and as luck would have it two 20+ planets to start I haven't been able to keep it up. I've saved the game on first turn and will keep playing it until I figure out the trick. Assuming that there is one. I hope so, Thalan have always been by favorite race.

I never start building any ships until the last moment. I want to see what everyone else is building and build my ships to hit their weaknesses. After that, I always try to have one ship in orbit around each planet just to force the AI to send both an armed ship and transport. It makes a difference when there is a lot going on and you might not notice a transport flying in solo. These ships are all weapons and armor, nothing else since they never need to move. I speciali

What you are all missing is that it isn't a traditional invasion. It is an extermination. When the fight is done, the population is what is left of your invasion force. You've killed billions of people. You don't need to worry about target selection aside from leaving a few important buildings. Killing everything non-selectively can be pretty quick.

I wanted to send the saves but realized that I had overwritten the ones I wanted to send. So started a new game. Got a lot further than previously but eventually it happened again. I have it so that if you hit "turn", it always crashes before all the auto-stuff completes. Nice and repeatable (I'm a programmer myself). Now the problem is that I can't find the file to send. I've found my DL saves but nothing new. Where are the files?

Ever since I upgraded to the latest patch, the game crashes at certain random points (well semi-random - see below) when I hit the turn button. It is a hard crash to Windows with the "report error" prompt. I've tried three games with different galaxy sizes in case it was a memory problem although I have 2 gigs. Once it crashes reloading the game from the last auto-save or the previous one doesn't help. I have it saving every 2 turns and if I go to the last auto-save it crashes in 2 t

If you have a larger civ, managing it can be a chore. The Civ Manager is great but once you have 50+ plus planets spread out all over the place it becomes less useful. Especially when building ships. Until you late in the game where you the ship is built matters quite a bit. When you are preparing for war, you want the planets closest to your target to generating most of the attack force. We could use the mini-map to draw regions and have the a Region Manager just for specific re
