I think he was expecting that the weapon would give more damage per weapon unit, instead of realising that when each weapon is smaller, you can choose to fit more on the ship(thus making the ship more powerful in attack) or you can use the saved space to maintain the same offensive ability but add extra speed or armour or whatever else you need to it.

Slave pits? But Earth is now surrounded by some kind of shield so the Drengin couldn't conquer us. Perhaps goto NASA, tell them to get off their lazy asses and build a new apollo rocket, goto the moon, switch off the precursor device generating that force shield so then the Drengin can conquer Earth, enslaving Stardock so they get the beta out sooner! Yes, I am looking forward to how that story arc resolves itself. <img sr
