Ship "extras" parts addons/mods/downloads? in Modding GalCiv2 Forums

Forgive my n00bness, I'm new here Already found some prefab ships and base-hulls for download (and even made some of them work). Great stuff. Are there any availible libraries of the "extra" building-block parts for download? I really enjoy being able to make my own ships, but find the parts gc2 comes with to be kindof incomplete.

mods, custom ships, AI useability? in Modding GalCiv2 Forums

Kindof a basic question. I'm new to galciv2. Downloaded and made-work the excellent NX01 and NCC-1701 ship-basis models. Does the AI ever use these types of additions? Does the AI even build thier own ships, or just use the prefab ones?
