oh. i only have 1.8 patch so far. will the 2.01 patch break my save file?

i still dont see the option to place a spy in any races passive area. all i see is the option to nullify a planet improvement and then its instantly removed. i just want to gather passive intel.

i have since deleted taht save game but it has been a recurring problem in all versions of the game. im going to try just playing DA and see if it happens there.

i have since installed the 1.8 DA patch and reinstalled twilight of the arnor and i still get a message saying i dont have the latest 1.8 patch and the espionage is still worthless...where is this iirc thing?

So ive been playing my game for awhile now and i loaded it up today and there was about an inch of no military data on the strength graph that is displayed while playing the game. the data from the past game is just condensed into 1/4 of the graph then there is a blank and it starts all over again at the very far right of the graph..WTF is going on. now it is virtually impossible to see my military strength compared to other unless i go into the manager. i have since reloaded it again and it

so tech trees are chosen by ship design when making custom races? cause i dont get any unique technologies in the game.

Im playing the twilight expansion pack as a custom race with terran ship designs. Ive noticed that the weapons research seems to be shorter and dont know why. i would like to be able to get the middle weapons because they are cheaper and i dont want to spend 30+ turns going from mark 4 rail gun to graviton driver. i seem to be missing singularity drivers, hd spike drivers and a few others i cant remember. the laser and missile weapons have been reduced as well. this is beginning to be annoying

does anyone know if this is possible with any trainers? my ctrl shift d dosnt work anymore for some reason and it seems that every game there is an AI that goes out of control spamming colony ships and is unaffected by things like military costs and colony maintenance. this time the crynn have colonized 3/4 of the galaxy and they have wiped out 3 people and the game is really boring with no real balance of power. ive declared war on them 2 times in an attempt to save those two dead factions but

How do you simply gather intelligence on another race? before the expansion it happened when i assigned money towards each civs espionage meter but those are gone now. i place agents on other planets but they are neutralized in 1 turn.

Is there a way to bring back more factions into the game? i know there is a cheat for bringing minor factions into a game but i dont know about major. im in a gigantic map and i guess a lot of people spawned near eachother because 4 races were wiped out before i even got mid way into the game.

So i have two small size ship models. one is called patriot an the other is called patriot-m2. they are both exactly the same except 1 uses mass drivers the other uses lasers. the laser ship has 1 extra piece so it looks somewhat different. when i upgrade the mass driver ship it says there are blahh number of this ship and that is correct. then on the left it lists the patriot-m2 and scout as options for upgrading but not the patriot. this is very frustrating as it means i lose all my mass drive

I saw in the sticky they linked to a post that could resolve this but that page is restricted and i could not view it. When i put my dvd in the drive a windows vista message said the program failed to run and closed the autoplay. then i opened up my computer and tried from there and the same happened. i finally explored the dvd and ran the setup myself. now when i try to click the game in my program files or shortcut i get the same crash. i havnt patched the game yet because im having trouble fi

The first time i played this game i had it installed on a different hard drive. It was great then. But when i got a new hard drive stuff started to miss from the game. These are the things that no longer exist in my newly installed version: I cant build sensors on starbases. I cant rotate extra pieces or anything i add to a ship of a hull, sometimes i end up with a two left shoes look cause i cant rotate stuff.
