It would be interesting if when the capital is taken, you get a moral debuff (yes I have been playing too many rpgs recently coughLotROcough) that starts off bad (the shock of losing their capital) but gets a little better over time, and when you get the capital back, you get rid of the debuff and gain a buff. (note to self, use less rpg terms)

This is only part one of the beta and those are the only races so far with the updated Tech Trees, they will release more betas later with more of the tech trees for the races and some of the new features later.
I almost always go with luck, and also since I am starting to like playing the Yor, I go for an extra +1 to the speed since with the superability of the Yor (slowing down enemy ships) along with the bonus to my speed, allows me to have an advantage when fighting on my own turf.
This is going to be soooo cool. The more unique tech trees (go Yor), along with the ship modules that allow you to have bonuses when in groups alone want me to get this (though I would love if there were other unique modules like a scanner or repair ships) Edit Will there also be some races that focus on having fewer more powerful ships that fight alone (better large hulls/strong weapons less logistics) and ones that will have more but weaker ships (better smaller hulls, weaker weap
The epic generator was a feature that was going to be added into Dark Avatar, but as you could see was cut. It was going to make a story based on the events of what happened in the game and allow you to share it.
The same thing happened to me while playing the Dread Lords campaign. Not only did the Dread Lords sign a peace treaty with me and pretty much every other race that were in the mission, but also I could 'talk' to the Dread Lords and trade with them (but it would cost me a bunch of bc to get even the simplist of things >_>)
(Never played DA yet, getting it tommorow though ) From what I hear, it seems a little too powerful to completely wipe out a planet. My opinion is that it should be changed to something less powerful but still useful, maybe like poisoning the planet, and instead of killing off the entire population, kill off a percent each turn for a certain amount of turns (maybe 5 or so) and then the toxins are remo
Sorry, I just read the 1.4x bug list and saw it was the first bug there >_>, should of read that before. Just ignore this topic
Well, apparently I learned that planets can't join fleets to destroy the Dread Lords >_ I was playing the mission after Achilles Heel (beat that mission with luck, going down to Cakewalk, and giving my money and tech to the allies and let them do the work >_>) I selected one of my planets to move a ship on it, and the fleet manager showed up, with the planet itself being able to be selected! Wondering what would happen, I selected the planet and a ship and created a fleet....crashing t
Yes, I like this idea a lot. Maybe have a chance for missing with the bonus of a slightly higher atk at the time or smaller size. Another possiblily is having mass drivers jamming meaning that your attack was wasted and missiles have a chance of backfiring (or something) so that you take some damage (the damage you take increases as the weapon gets more powerful, though the chance of backfiring decreases since they are getting more advanced)
