Given some of the advanced technology that this game has in it, yeah eventually every sq. inch of a planet could be used. I bumped my post from Beta 3 but it has disappeared. The following is a way to excel your social productions on your planets. This was a problem in Beta 3 and still is in Beta 4. Every turn you are given the option to buy out a social production (such as a farms, virutal reality centers ect.). This is still an issue in Beta 4. Able to give myself 500% planet quality bonus and other amazing powers at the beginning of the game. It gets kind out of hand.. nice to have a research bonus of 1000% ... you get all those nice features alot faster.
Cloaking an option in this game. Seems the computer had it but I never had the option to cloak.
The options to show battle options are not working. I unchecked to see battle animation and still see it. Also quick battle (or whatever the option on) didn't seem to make any difference checked or unchecked. When you make adjustments to the number of background stars or nebula the adjustments dont occur until you save and reload your game.

The cheat/bug/exploit works in the following manner. You will need at least one availble free tile and some cash on hand (not much 100). This method is only good to build instantly items that cost more than 100 (suchs a industry centers and other high end items which run in the 1000's) 1) Build the social item you want (bank,factory,research center ect) 2) Now build a farm or other low end item on the spare tile but go ahead and purchase it. There are options to remove the auto-save and build notifications. Interested to know if there will be an option to remove other notifications such as Council Meetings (except when you actually have to vote on something) and Top Civ reports. It would be nice to be able to click the next button repeatedly without having to move the mouse around to click on notifications. When I've obtained enough planets that are defenseless the AI will send combat ships in to take over the planet. Once they are successful the turn option is no longer available. The enter key will also not move the turn forward. I've seen similar posts reguarding issues with invasions but nothing specificly similar to the above. I've "re-created" this problem 3 times now.
MODS: Im not sure on the policy of reporting such bugs. So (of course) delete this post if you see fit to do so. Its very spuratic, I'm having difficulties recreating it.. but I did CTD twice after clicking the turn button more than 40 times (one right after the other). Sometimes the system hangs while its calculating but that is to be epxected. Not sure if its the number of clicks or just clicking at the right time that is causing problems (such as the colorful notificiations, auto saves or other factors). Being the impatient person that I am, I have the habit of clicking the turn button repeatedly. Occasionally the system will not re-display the turn button. Saving the game and reloading it also will not return the turn button. Pressing the enter key ends the turn and the turn button is re-displayed. Upon Fresh deinstall of SDC. Installed v2.05.319 build 83. I have no GalCiv2 Directory to speak of. I set my internet settings to point to Cali Servers I start to download GalCiv2 0.20[b].005 The install bar says validating product registration proceeds to download the files after it downloads gc2.sdc it explodes the files out finally last but not least it says activating product then you get a window that says Gal Ci

Andrew who is still waiting for support to write him.... has done the following ghee wiz after I start SDC it tells me to upgrade I do.. and guess what no GalGiv2 to uninstall or install. Ok CariElf .. I've followed your example to the T. I've archived the application uninstalled the applicaiton and restored the application.. Now, right after it restores I see that it registers the product and then it says installation successful. HOWEVER, upon running the application it prompts for the Activation Key. Now what do I need to do? -Thanks Andrew (who is still waiting for an email from kwilas and two from support).
I have uninstalled and reinstalled 4 times now. As ALWAYS it asks for the activation key when you go to run the application..
Ok, I emailed kwilas waiting a response. I also checked to see what server I was pulling from. I was pulling from the Chicago Server. So I have reset this to Cali. I've uninstalled the application and reinstalled. Same problem, but this could be do to the fact that the activation code needs to be reset (per CariElf note above). So I will wait until I hear back from support or kwlias. -Sigh...... Andrew
