This is probably for the older players like 40+ Could you imagine playing todays shooters with an old ball mouse instead of optical mouse. I think the optical mouse has helped a lot in todays fast paced action shooters. Just think for a second playing farcry 2 with an old ball mouse?

Thanks. This game is just awesome. I played many games before trying out the campaign and when I couldnt research the shield I tought it was a bug. I never thought it was by design in the campaign. I dont know how far I'll go in the campaign but I'll see. Thanks for the lightning fast response. PS. This game would be perfect on the iPhone.

I bought galciv II ultimate and cant research shields? I'm playing the first campagn, Dread lords. I cant put a screen shot. so here is a text version of the tech tree I have. Basically space defense leads to - >armor theory ->Titanium armor -> etc. &nb

From the main menu, options, then uncheck "save ship designs to hard drive", when you exit back to desktop the designs are gone. If you start a new game without quitting back to desktop first, the designs are still present.
