Just finished the first CalCiv game since the OS/2 days. Visually a lot has changed. Gameplay wise, some important things have changed. Most importantly, though, it makes one completely forget about time. It's such a rich game. Being at home, and told by the doctor not to move around too much, that's very good. I was rather surprised by my own defeat. I was fighting a war against the Arceans. I was afraid it wouldn't go well, since I was military weak and my finances blead (fortunately

I'm at home now, trying to cure a cracked vertebra. Not fun. My girlfriend is picking up GCII for me this afternoon. I've spent so many hours on the OS/2 version all those years ago. Entire weekends without sleep or food. How much different is the current version compared to the OS/2 original? Most importantly, does it suck you in as effectively, making you completely forget about time? _ /Bjorn
