I am using Windows 7 RC 64-bit, on a GeForce 9800 GTX+, with 190.38 GeForce drivers. I got this error as well. I didn't bother trying to actually play the game as I assumed it would be terrible, or wouldn't work at all. So I did the workaround, and the game launched without issue and played fine. Here's the wrinkle though guys: I had to run dxdiag to submit a report for a beta testing application. So I removed the work-around DLLs and replaced them with the originals that I ha

To the OP: Get a grip on reality dude you sound like you're slamming your keyboard really hard, red in the face, throwing things around the room.
1) When generating a map with "randomize all", star colors do not seem to have an effect on planetary quality. A purple star does not necessarily have a super-planet in orbit. Is this intended? Star color in the map editor is not tied to planet quality. This is so, for instance, you could make an entire custom map with green stars if you wanted to.
Ahh, I see. That makes sense. I like that actu
Hi all. I've just spent a couple minutes playing with the map editor, and have found a couple things that appear to be bugs. 1) When generating a map with "randomize all", star colors do not seem to have an effect on planetary quality. A purple star does not necessarily have a super-planet in orbit. Is this intended? 2) All planets that are randomly generated seem to be flagged "uninhabitable" by default, regardless of world quality. Is this intended?
Confirmed and official! Now, whats new in 4C? :D
Stop acting like you have a right to have these editors now. You don't. Not until the release in March. Anything they give you now along those lines is a gift.
I gave them my money for TA a couple months ago, I think I'm entitled to as much of the full product as they can give me.
We've been wanting to include the editors but have been afraid they might end up on some torrent site. So we'll be releasing one of the editors and as long as we don't find them on torrent sites, we'll keep adding more editors to the beta.
So if the editor shows up on some torrent site, the other editors won't get beta tested? I don't understand the reasoning there. What are your thoughts?

Sorry guys, this is probably cancelled. They fired the whole dev team and are trying to find someone to sell it to.
I changed the drive letter of my secondary hard drive on my other machine to M:, like in your configuration, and tried installing the game there using SDC. Worked fine.
Yeah I know what you mean. I was playing a game last night and the Dread Lords popped up smackdab in the middle of my space. I was like "Oh hi there.". Sent a combat transport with 4000 guys and ended them in one turn. (Admittedly, I had a 9 advantage factor, they had 900, but they only had 20 soldiers.) The Jagged Knife however annoys me severely. I never have a problem taking my planets back, but it always messes up my flow and I start getting sloppy.
The original post gave me a huge headache simply trying to read it. This is why this reply does not have an intelligent response in it.
That's 100%.....
Hm. Where's the changelog? I can't find it anywhere.
