In Stardock Central, GalCiv2 had several components in the tree under it (Tutorials, Movies, Height Maps, etc.), which made subsequent installs faster and smaller because I didn't need to download the parts I didn't want (like the tutorials, for example). With Impulse, however, the games are all-or-nothing, and I'm forced to install all of GalCiv2 whether I want it or not. Please put back the sub-components. If there's an option somewhere that I missed, please let me know and accept m
Where did you read that Ironclad will be forcing people to connect to Impulse to play online? And is that only if you use their servers, or even for direct LAN/IP games?
I got the 101.41 beta drivers yesterday (http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x86_101.41.html), and they worked for me. I was able to play a full game last night over several sessions and had no problems.
Yeah, I suspected that it was the video and/or audio drivers (they're responsible for the overwhelming majority of blue screens in XP), but thought it wouldn't hurt to post here.

When I run GalCiv2 on Vista, it runs fine, but after a short time the graphics and audio get corrupted on the map screen. Switching to the menu makes everything fine again, but then switching back to the map brings back the corruption. Saving, exiting, and reloading the game doesn't help.
