The "work-around" no longer works. Upon trying to start TA, I get video artifacts and the game locks up after loading a saved game. TA is totally unplayable for me. I am going to have to completely un-install it as it is affecting my start-up of Windows. It causes video artifacts half the time I start Windows XP. When I get the artifacts Windows startup hangs and I have to power off the computer and try to start again. Debug Message: Version v1.80g Twilight of the Arn

I found a work-around. I merely set my monitor resolution to 1440x900 by right clicking on my desktop and bringing up Display Properties. I seem to be able to play the game at a resolution ingame of 1920x1200. I have started a new game and played a few turns without crashing.
I was able to play TA for a couple of days without problems. It started to crash during game play today Dec. 30th 2007. So I restarted, then it crashed on trying to load a saved game. Then I restarted Windows XP Home w/ SP2 five time to finally get it to gt tot he deskstop. Then I started TA and it crashed befoe I could do anything. I had to restart Windows about 6 or 8 timers to get it back to desktop. TA crashed immediately upon starting. The pattern was one of progressive instability.<
Twilight of Arnor crashes no matter what I try. It will not start a new game or load a saved game. I even tried uninstalling all files and re-installing everything. No luck.
