I'm sorry to hear that, Silver, hope your current situation improves soon. You've been one heckuva commissioner for what it's worth. Looking forward to playing again with you when we both return.
Firebender, ready to step up to the plate?
Nope. :) It's the summer vacations and I'll be moving back home to Glasgow soon. Between travel, summer vacations, moving(from one country to another), sports, etc checking back here won't exactly be at the top
FireBender
Yea, sometimes the AI resets to cakewalk if you Ctrl+D alot.
hey FB, how's that rough draft coming?
Well, y'know... I have summer vacations to worry about...
1 year 50,400 JustinSane5 character timestamp 6/17/2008 4:38:52 PM.I am glad with the result, but very glad to be done with that game. That was a serious grind for a 1 year game. The only other game I recall being that much work was a gig/abundant all suicidal.
Woah! Bloody awesome effort, Justin! That's gonna be hard to beat...
Settings were identical and previous research was the same in both cases. Can't explain it!
Perhaps the first time creativity lent a helping hand. Even if you don't select creativity, it does affect research. :)
This i understand, what i mean is just the pure fact you are paying a lease. Not any consequences of the lease but that you have them, i was curious as to whether this impacted score, economic particually, outside of population concerns....
Mumble did mention a long time ago in the Team C private forums that your spending doesn't have much to do with your econ score. It mainly reflects how much money you can earn in contrast to the AIs.
Does anyone think the amount you owe in leases has any affect on score?
As long as it doesn't drag you into debt for an extended period of time. When your pop gets dissatisfied with debt, then you know your score is suffering.
(not sure what YWZ is tho?)
A Zero Year Win is a game won in 48 turns or less(within the starting year). Usually 13 turns though.
My own Top Ten(all on PC in no particular order): World in Conflict Crysis Halo 3 Off-world Resource Base (ORB) Galciv2 Rise of Nations Blitzkrieg Age of empires(all 3) TP: BP Mechwarriors(I liked it at the time)
good. now to start establishing rules. come up with a first draft and send it to me...then i can add it to the body of the thread!
EDITED. On second thought, I'll send you the draft tomorrow.
where do you find the whole list of settings? -Dave
OP screenshot.
Lol,
i think FB has the most votes....so i guess congratulations on your win FB!!!!FIREBENDER IS THE NEW LEADER OF THE GALACTIC SENATE!!! WELL DONE!!!-Dave
Yey, lol. Now who wants free karma? ;) Anyway, for my first act as senate leader I vote to pass the above proposal in reply no. 356 for inter-empire competitions.
That's actually pretty good. :CONGRAT: Great job, Neilo! I can't wait for a Gigantic ZYW AAR, I wanna know how it's done.
Just to let you know what I plan to do if I become the senate leader. As far as I know, the only ways some of the more vocal empires compete with each other are through the metaverse(+altmeta) and role-playing. The former is too slow and latter is, for lack of a better word, indecisive. The alternative is an idea put forward by Nequa. Credit goes to him. A somewhat-MVL based competition between EMPIRES instead of teams, administered by the senate. This is what I
Hey Freeeman, check your PM messages please. All the other crusaders have gotten word and replied so I just thought I'd send notice. If you didn't get it, PM me and I'll send another one.
Since FB and SP are tied for 1st place I think they should be forced to fight to the death for leadership.
I call for a recount.
And whoever dies first...wins!!
And I know I can't win under those conditions.
Nice scores, both Neilo and Motti! I'll be adding in a few more games too once I've got this metaverse issue sorted out.
Thinking about sports (which, admittedly, I know little about), teams often suffer the penalties caused by individual team members, don't they? I mean, if a hockey player gets sent to the penalty box, the other players on the team are essentially penalized by having one less player. That's part and parcel of the concept of "team", to my mind.
Yes, but the other players don't lose the goal that that player might've made.
I agree with the above rule, but the ability to deduct a player's score might not sit well with the rest of the team. I mean, an entire team could suffer on the actions of one individual. Of course, a person cheating(should they be caught) would be an exception. Perhaps merely restricting future participation would be a better alternative. Here's what I mean, _____________________________________________________________________________ In the case where a MVL member
Just to verify... ARC is no longer allowed, right?
Sadly, no. :NOTSURE:
LOL, great banner, piznit.
My 3 votes to meself. Do excuse my voting for myself, modesty died when I was born.
Nocilucus

Noctilucus
I r teh grammar nazi.
OK, team C picks Defcon13. Once the random assignment is over, I'll have PM's sent to all the members of Team C.
Team D chooses the MVL rookie, Seven300! Welcome to the domination of Death!

Team B is thrilled to select Ferrel!
Awww, both my other picks are gone. Let's hope my third backup stays put.
