I'm guessing that Stardock is changing their name to Cyberdyne Systems, and will start work on a revolutionary AI code named Skynet. Either that or they're going to give away a bunny with every order.

Nooo, those aren't troop transports, those are for having...uh...tea parties! Yes, that's right. It's a Tea Party Transport. Care for some crumpets?). Funniest thing I've heard today by far!
Dark Avatar Day Download has yet to been seen Where is the game Brad? I'm actually not waiting to download the game, I just like writing haikus!
You could always use a program like WinRAR that will let you split a file up into smaller pieces. Of course this means it would take you a couple of days to get all the pieces home, and I doubt you want to wait that long to play! How I ever survived without a broadband connection is beyond me.
You listen to it?!?!? I start a game loading, then go do other small tasks for a few minutes. I come back one the game is loaded.
Just a quick followup on my original reply. My idea seems to work on Medium galaxies, but not on larger ones, I assume because races will typically have more planets. In these cases I offer them a peace treaty in exchange for 50-75% of their planets, and then on the next turn attack them again and take the rest of their planets. Still easier than invading each planet, and gives you an instant boost to your taxpayers! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN
I can do it with version 1.31. The key is to take out ALL of their military ships. If they have even one defender with an attack of 1, you won't be able to get all of their planets.
While there isn't an option to ask for their surrender, if you can destroy ALL of the races military ships, you can get all of their planets in exchange for a peace treaty. Great way to conquer a race without having to take over all of their planets!
I make heavy use of the rally point system to deal with constructors. Each resource mine I have gets a descriptive rally point (Military Mine 1, Influence Mine 3, etc), and I also create a generic rally point for each of the starbase types (Military Base, Economy Base, Influence Base). During every game I have some low PQ planets that I specialize to do nothing but pump out constructors for the entire game. All of these planets are set up for the ships to rally at the same place, say Milita
Blue area of the moon, errr, I mean Northern panhandle, West Virginia, USA.
The game I'm playing now on maso has the same situation. Of course, out of the 9 opponents I started with, only 4 are left. The fact that you have 8 opponents left is just nuts! I'm currently building influence starbases to take over systems without a war, but I didn't know that allying with the other races would prevent them from joining in. Thank you Feud, and I forsee a quick victory for myself tonight!
I don't think I'm up for that level of randomness in my games, but it is a very cool idea!
31 I think. (I don't keep my age in memory any more, and am too lazy to do the math at the moment! )
