Ok. It's just that years back the way civ3 patches were localized left me traumatized forever. Not that I can blame Stardock for that one :)

So if I went and bought the "endless universe" could I upgrade it with the forthcoming 2.0 patch ? I mean the ver 2.0 is a patch to the game engine, and enless universe is a standalone release but uses that engine, right ?
I saw a local gaming seller advertise Galactic Civilizations II: Endless Universe PC Is this the same you are talking about here.
I can't do the sodding quest where you're in a submarine and you have to retreive something from the ocean floor https://www.elementalgames.com/forum/msg.php?lang=eng&forum=ptquest&theme=16&page=auto
Will there be done any patches at all... ? On the Elemental Games forum the russian patch scene was described: The fans improve the code and make quests/Rts maps. Best quests etc. make it into the "patch". Some of the original developers are overseeing the work but the "patches" are kind of unofficial. No english patchwork is done (translati
I don't want to upset you guys, but I actually started playing SR 2 before GalCiv 2 and therefore SR 2 is my favourite game this year (and the best game I've played for a long time). This is the game I dreamed Elite would evolve to. Well, there's no 3D flying, but the movement system should feel quite familiar to GalCiv 2 players. There are several sub games in addition to the main space flying part. In my opinion no part of this game is actually perfect, but when you add them
Resource starbases effect yr entire empire In that case is it even necessary to own any planets within the range of such starbase ? I mean if I go to empty space outside my territory and build a starbase on a resource do I still get the benefits ? Oh, and when should I expect to see something in that planetary "starbase bonuses" box? I h
I'm a little confused when it comes to starbases: I built a mining starbase (influence resource) close to home planet and later added a mining barracks module to it. However when I go to my homeplanets "Details" screen there is the starbases box on the upper right hand corner and it says something like "no starbase bonuses". Also on the main planetary screen when I hower my mouse over the influence line I can see a list of things affecting the influence number but no mention of starbase
Just getting acquainted with the ship designer. During my last game I upgraded and designed a couple of ships and now when I started another game those designs were there. However I tought I noticed that some of newer components were missing (as they should be because research hasn't advanced that far yet, anyway I'm not 100% sure what happened because I didn't make notes about my design changes). So my questions are: Does the game keep track when the research has advanced far enough and tur
Well when I get upset by my computer I tend to do hasty decisions. Anyway I wasn't that far in the game (playing with the easy settings, I'm a newcomer to this game, 4 weeks or so). I usually start by building 2-3 factories depending on bonus squares, then research, marketplace and entertainment (I usually buy just the first factory). As I wr
I'm playing English language version. And yes I had the improvements finished, I could build a colony ship in 5 weeks. When the last improvement was finished I left it at "Building nothing". Unfortunately I got so upset that I deleted that game and started a new one. Maybe if I had saved and then loaded again...
I had built every improvement I wanted to build on Earth and chose the option to "Build nothing" and concentrated on other planets. Next time I checked on planet Earth to see why approval rating was so low I noticed that every single improvement I had built had disappeared. What happened, is this a bug ? Or a game "feature" ? I'm playing version 1.2.
