It's odd. The thing works fine on my machine. Loading and exiting are slow, but the actual gameplay is just fine. Thanks for all the advice though!

Important Question in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

So I'm thinking about buying this game, but I'm concerned that my machine just isn't up to the challenge. I tried the demo but it crashes upon trying to actually launch a game (but I can set up the game right up through the very last step). Music plays fine and everything, videos play fine, and everything up to the hint screen before game launch is dandy. My chief concern is that I have an older integrated chipset (although the system specs don't seem to require much of a video card).
