PROBLEM: Sound studders, particularly during intro and cutscenes. ISSUE: I've found a few fixes for this problem. HOWEVER, they only work until I turn the computer off. The problem reappears when I next turn on the computer. THINGS THAT TEMPORARILY FIX PROBLEM: re-installing drivers (various methods tried, same result) go into BIOS then save and exit (I don't even need to make a change to any settings) run System Mechanic.
