what upsetts me along with every other game, is the fact that i can't make a fair trade! Why on earth does the opponent always want 3-4 times as much as i get in order to make a trade? They trade fairly amongst eachother, but not with me. Diplomacy doesn't SEEM to make any difference as it is now.
what is net2.0? where to get it? how to get it? what is it? why needed? When installing this editor i get a question where to put it... NOT "where is your galciv folder?" so should it be placed in the gamefolder, or in the games MOD folder? i understand this is just a remake of another mapeditor, only difference is that it is slightly better, where to get the old one? as this one obviusly seems to cause people more trouble then not.
you all say its important to build your own ships... why is that? I either just use a hull without "extras" or i uppgrade a coredesign. ofcourse i will change/add weapons/engines (wierd that 2 engines go faster then 1 in space) but i wouldn't count that as "building you own". Ive wondered if putting an antimissile defense thing on the bottom of the ship won't defend VS missiles comming from above the ship in this game... does it? I used to play "Birth of the federation" on win 95. startrek game very very very very similar to this One thing that is wierd though, is that in that old, very old game you could control your battles a bit more, tell your ships what manuevers to take, and whom to aim at etc. Now... since this is a new game, i was expecting that it would have an even better fleet battle thingy... optional ofc.
