Is someone going to thow up an official Show of your ships 2014? Im a couple years behind getting mine posted, So I figured I better do it now before a 2015 thread gets made....

Few questions: Do you play on bigger maps? How much Ram do you have-system not video. What OS.
How about-its a just a fairly useless feature that even if it did work properly(which it does not), would at best be, of marginal utility. Once I mastered the art of making my own designs, and disabled the boxy looking stock designs, I found the game a lot more fun. The few times I tried to use the 'focus' button, all I learned was i was spending too much time focusing on something that didn't really do anything very useful. So I stopped trying ages ag
Your question doesnt really make much sense. No one races ships are really more 'powerful' since all races share the same basic tech lines far as weapons go. Its really a question of how advanced you are, not what race you are. I play human all the time and who has the most powerful warships?....I do! But this has more to do with the fact, I try to conquer planets with other races shrinkers and built ships on worlds with Ship Quality and HP bonuses. IoW, I try to leverage ev
My support Ship is an L-Class. Unarmed, so it never draws fire. Its a Defence\Warp bubble design. The idea is send them into battle with strong fleets. They gain XP just like any other ship. Its possible to get my un-armed command ships with 600-1000hp. When that happens, Upgrade that ship to one of your standard L-Class warships and send your fleet a new support ship-repeat . I had a game recently where I had a L-Class warship that started out as a un-armed support ship with 2376 HP. <p
Just some general comments and obseravations First of all-overall this is great mod. The fixes to the tech tree really make the game play much better than vanilla. It goes a long way to fixing a lot of the issues that plague vanilla that SD could never be bothered to fix. I always play immense 8-9 opponents at top 3 difficulty levels The good Starbases! Can actually defend themselves now!, and fairly early on in th
This game is far too buggy, even for immense. Eventually it reaches a point where auto-save causes a lot of crashes. Althernately, if you have a custom map with a lot of planets, eventually the bogs down to the point it takes 45mins or longer just to process a single turn. Either way, super-huge maps, which is what I prefer, are not quite impossible to play, You have to learn to tolerate constant restarts to get through a decent long, immense map. SD has shown little inclination to patch or f
There seems to be a problem with your 3b, When I go to build and improvement, I can only qeue one Improvement per tile. As soon as I place the improvement, say a factory, it disapears permanently from the build list. What is the problem?
Unique Tech trees would be a plus. I pretty much play terran exclusively, and one of this games(many flaws) is the underlying structure of the weapons branch. The way it is set up now, the weapons techs make it useless and costly to build ships that basically have no offensive strength at all. What this means in practical terms is, there is zero benefit to building a costly and inneffective miltary in the early and mid-game. In fact, until im near the ends of the tech tree, I dont b
Does this mod(patch really from the read) address the issue of the Torrians simply not builing anything at all on any of their worlds? thnx
Your Galciv 2 series is spectacularly unstable fyi. Its full of memory leaks, games lock up to the point no further progess is possible, if it can go wrong, your titles do it. Even after shutting down after a rare-crash free session its almost always required to reboot windows. Even after your game shuts off it is more than capable of affecting the entires windows system preformance(yes., in a negative way). Debug Message: Version v2.02 Twilight of the Arnor last updated on
Hey program, Would you mind you own business and keep you worthless opinions to yourself. On what basis do you post such mindless drivel? Meathead is no better with his....gee did you load an previous saved game? No retard, there all current from start to finish. Here , why dont we try this with you. I bet you have a Intel 810 Grpahics Chipset and dream of the day you collect enough pop cans to afford a Gforce32. Program, If you want an example of not meeting Minimum requirements, go take an IQ
Title sums it up, ....is a nice game, but really, its stability leaves a lot to be desire. The patch seems to have helped randon crashes in game-only had 1 post patch. This saved game thing...constant
Well, this may not be exactly what your going through, but I love it when One race declares war on *me*, when Im mostly neutral or luke warm to most civ's. Next thing you know, they all start issuseing chain DoW's on your *** becasue im at 'war' with there friend.......the....agressor. Now of course it makes perfect sense for 1/2 the galaxy to declare war on me just because one of them attacks me for no good reason and im the 'bad' guy. Its hard to make seperate peace with the original agressors
I havent seen this one yet, Atm I have rather the opposite problem, right now the Drengrin's Heavy fighters and Frigate class ships are easily destroying squadrons of my Top-of the Line Dreadnaughts, 125+ Weapons 30-40 on all 3 defences. There ships use Black-Hole Eruptors(of course). My equivalent to there frigate is the Flanker-X, which is weapons in the 80ish range 20 to all 3 defences, they are usually to first to go, and my dreads might last a little longer, There dreadnaughts seem to be ab
3 things I noticed 1) Graphics Glitch in ship design. Was building a Medium class ship and when I saved it-it changed into a Large Hull graphic and pretty much stayed that way. When one of them was destroyed, you could see the original medium class base graphic fly apart-odd. 2) The current game Im playing had the dengrins somehow end up with pretty much the entire tech tree fairly early on, probably got it all from one of the minor races. Anyhow-despite being at war with me th
What is it about you that breeds such massive ignorance citizen? Do you understand that opinions without facts are even less than worthless? Thats where you lie in the grand scheme of things. IE less than worthless. For your feelble mind to digest Fact Game hung [email protected] still doing it [email protected] . It is a 'fact' that this game is not especically stable for me, in fact as i noted, in this regard it stands out. It is hardly an 'opinion; or mere hyperbole on my part. <br

Not exactly Sure if this qualifies as a 'bug' or not-But here it is. In the Battle of the Gods Scenario The AI tends to build, ok WAY overbuild Tech improvements on its planets. Up to 30% or even higher in fact. The AI has not be programed to dis-regard tech improvments, which would make some sort of sense since they are absolutely of no value in this senario, yet they practically fill there tiles with them(much like a regular game) And in case the above doesnt 100% qualify as a 'real'
Its pretty obvious Kyro your quite new to both rational thought and the 4x Genre, so ill take a few moments out of my day to help you out. If there is anyone that does not understand how bases work, take a long look in a mirror. No 4x game has ever made static bases or planetary defences truly effective, or even moderatley effective. Galciv is no exception-got that? Weither you like it not, Milbases are not particularly effective, nor do they act in a manner consistent with what one wou
Just wanted to drop some general Comments about GalCiv II, maybe someone in charge reads things here once in a while. Overall I like the game, theres been a real shortage of 4x Space games last 10 years and even MOO1 and 2 have been getting pretty dull of late. Lots of depth, difficulty is not based on 7 alien races all launching themselves at you at the same time. I got espeically tired of MOO2's habit of your closest allies for NO reason declareing war and 1 second later your hig
