These were all recently fixed. Thanks guys. ~C
The fleet defense bonus equipment (Xalax and Zalon) are still using Advanced Defensive Techniques as their required tech, instead of the appropriate technologies. The more advanced starbase weapons available through the starbase fortification tree have no module requirements. Example: Subspace Blaster 2 has a module reqirement tag, but no data in the tag. The Altarian technology Enhanced Defences still reads "TODO: This is a new tech for Twilight."

Yo
These issues have been fixed. Thanks for pointing them out guys. ~C
# Techs 'Xalax Defense Coordination' and 'Zalon Defense Mainframe' don't seem to do anything: No bonuses, no ship modules. The Terran ship modules 'Xalax Defense Coordination' and 'Zalon Defense Mainframe' are activated by tech 'Advanced Defensive Techniques', I guess they should be moved to their proper techs. # An inconsistency: Terran ship module 'Stellar Avenger' (Attack +20%) only works in own sphere of influence while 'Stellar Defender' (Defense +25%) works everywhe
Bah! My mistake. Fixed. Thanks for finding it. ~C
There are several techs in the Altarian tech tree that only show up after you have chosen your ethical alignment to be "Good". Some branch off of Xeno Ethics, while others will be elsewhere in the tree. If you choose the "Good" ethical alignment, the "Shrine of Tandis" tech is located here: [Hyper Fusion Reactors]-->[Artificial Gravity]-->[Planetary Improvements]-->[Temple]-->[Shrine of the Mithrilar]-->(if good) [Shrine of Tandis] It should be in this locat
This bug has been fixed internally and will be in the next update. Thank you for mentioning it, and thanks also for the link to the other location where it was being mentioned. ~C
This bug has been fixed internally and will be in the next update. Thank you for mentioning it.
I fixed this today in our internal build. It should be in our next update to the beta. Thanks for pointing it out. ~C
I was able to track down and fix the issue with this particular mission. It'll be in our next update to Dreadlords, which (just to forewarn you) could be as far off as the 2.0 update - which doesn't have an exact release date yet. So as I said, there will be an official update that fixes this issue, I just don't know how soon it'll go up. There is a way that you can fix it on your end though, in the meantime: 1.) Find the "Pathfinder.gc2scenario" file in your install folder (usua
Does Twilight of The Arnor need Dark Avatar to run?

TA requires DA
Yep, this is true. If you were to go to the purchase page that Graviton linked you to, and scroll to Twilight to read its description, you'll see this: " NOTE: Requires Galactic Civilizations II: Dark Avatar or Gold Edition. Available April 2008."
I too have used paypal without giving them my credit card information. So it's definitely possible.
Actually, I don't see 'enable advanced algorithms
The text actually reads "Force AI to use Max CPU." It's on the "Game" tab of the options screen, near the screenshot format.
the current beta of twilight of the arnor, 6a, has a bug in the "StarbaseModules.xml" file. It is missing a couple of closing tags at the end. Unless you or stardock fixes said file by creating proper closing tags
This has been fixed and will be in our next beta update.
At this time, version 0.98a[b].003 is the latest beta. If you were to install this version, run the game, and look at the bottom left hand corner of the title screen, it should stay Twlight Beta 6a. Which is why people refer to it as Beta 6a. Hope that clears it up for you. ~Charles
I have the PS2 version, [of Rock Band]. I only have the guitar at this point. It does rock. It's fun, but in it's current state, much like Guitar Hero.
Yeah, without the extra instruments, you're missing out on what makes it so different from Guitar Hero.
We put up a new version of the Beta yesterday. Grab that and let us know if you have any problems. Thanks, ~C ps. Heads up to the guy hosting mfc71.dll : among other things, yesterday's update makes it so you don't need MFC71.dll on your PC to use the editors anymore.
Does this beta mean it will finally be released soon?
This beta means it's still in beta.
I created a scenario, player is Terran and I gave all the techs possible to them... The game loads and I don't own any of those techs...
I fixed this today. Will be in our next Beta update. Thanks for finding it. ~C
Obviously, the team behind Rock Band really looked at how people play Guitar Hero
Harmonix made GH1 and GH2. Harmonix developed Rock Band. So they've had some iterations to get it right. The publisher of those GH games, Red Octane, got bought out by Activision and so now the Activision-owned developer Neversoft makes the GH games from GH3 on. GH3 was their first attempt, which is barely more than a GH2-clone with new songs, and a few tweaks. We can only go up from here, pr
...map editor crashes...
We put a new update to the beta on SDC today. It includes updates to the editors as well. Get the latest and let us know if you still have problems. Thanks, ~C
How do you start the map editor
Well, the tools are separate .exe's, and they reside in ..../GalCiv2/Twilight/Tools/. If you'd rather not browse to that location, you can just right-click on Twilight in Stardock Central and go to "Run Application". This will a start-up gadget that lets you either run the game, or choose which editor to run. Oh, and btw, there's a beta update on SDC. We just put it up a few minutes ago.
I have fixed the naming issues with Stars and Asteroid fields, (along with a few other things), in our internal build. It'll be available in one of our next updates.
In the map editor, if you right-click a planet, you can set which race owns it.
Here's some suggestions for the editors.
At this stage, we're most interested in you guys finding usability problems with the editors. Twilight has been on feature lock for awhile, and this includes the editors. We might start a thread at one point for suggesting features, but for right now, let's find some bugs. :)
For the campaign editor, how about being able to select movies from your computer to use as intros and outros for missions
<b
