I think it'd be cool to have a race like the Ori. You could still conquer planets, but for every planet you flip through influence, you gain a small percentage to all your abilities, the exact amount determined by the population of that world. seeing as the Ori become more powerful the more followers they have, could be an interesting thing to try.....

Maybe a better idea would be to allow an advanced construction module that will allow for more than just one module to be added at a time. Conversely you could remove the "one module per constructor" limit, it's probably the easiest way to overhaul the system. To address the valid complaint that starbases are too fragile, maybe for every shipbuilding tech you research (from medium -> large -> huge) you could add a module called "Starbase Superstructure" that benefits HP. I know it's not
That's really too bad, it should really give the starbase a few levels everytime a constructor gets to it in order to beef up its HP at least.. but I have no way of knowing if starbases can even gain levels. Yes, actually they do. It's rare since my fleets usually intercept ships long before getting to the bases, but on the off chance one does m
Personally I think the price of gas is too LOW. When you consider how useful gas/oil really is, it's tremendously undervalued. It cracks me up when companies start folding because gas prices go up and they whine that energy prices are incredibly expensive. Europe's prices are higher, and their economy isn't in a shambles. You could argue that Europe's geographically smaller, but Canada is pretty big and we pay more for gas too. When your entire economy is based on an undervalued resource, it's a
IMO, crippling ships wouldn't add anything to the game and just add one more worry to managing your fleet. What I DO think would be a good idea is that for there to be a technology to be researched that allows larger ships to compete against swarms of smaller ones, like a targetting computer. It would allow these ships with multiple powerful weapons to have some damage apply to the next available target in a combat round, but ONLY if there was an unfired weapon available to engage that next targ
Oh, you mean Altarians... right... Well unless you're Wraith, then you call them Lanteans, or food.
I usually go for medium sized ships myself. I also sometimes tech up to huge hulls, and load up mediocre weapons, great shielding and LOTS of engines. Because experience is related to how powerful your ship is in relation to theirs, I don't want insane overkill. Once I've gained a level (or 20), then I turn it into an uber ship
I look at Halo as a staple multiplayer game for the PC. Its simple to play and runs well on older PCs. You can always do a couple slayer matches I agree. Tried Doom 3 online and it was unplayable, as my wireless connection is....less than good (trying to rectify that) but Halo runs fine. Sure, you have team-killers here and there, but the communi
Sweet, it's the Hippoforalchus.......I mean the Orion Pity the Ancient warships look so....blocky, I was expecting something ultra-advanced looking. Any plans to add Hive Ships? THOSE look cool.
The Replicators are gone in both our galaxy and the Asgard one, but there's a different version of them in the Pegasus galaxy.
I think it would be cool if the AI players would recognize if you saved them from an enemy attack. For instance if a transport was headed towards a colony of theirs that was undefended and you intercepted it, they could thank you somehow. Even if it's just a pat on the back, it would make me feel as if my friend appreciates the fact I just saved them. Same thing could work with marauding fleets that are in their territory. How much they thank you could be based on the size and attack values of t
