I did not know that upgrading a building on a planet meant to change the building completely, I had to retire cause I had no starports :-\.

im actually playing the demo right now. I tried to build a ship w/o no technologies, but i didnt have no defense or weapons or nuttin, so i gave up. Now im researchin the galactic warfare. Not sure what gets me weapons but that looks promising .

This game sounds unbelievable. The thing I looked for most in a game is replayablility and the customizability (if thats the correct word). One other question though. Every new game your technology resets? So every new game you have to research again to make better ships. Oh, and do they have preset ships or everytime you wanna new starship YOU have to build it.

Hotseat and Ip are wonderful ideas, of course a battle.net is not needed and a good point that it will take a hell of a long time to do one game, many problems with that. But if your just playing with your buddies and such who cares if you end the game, your gonna play again later, although a save feature would fix the problem of not being able to finish a really good game. I have also seen some games where you can e-mail the file to your buddy after you finish one turn. and then he does his tur

Oh please not another Kohan style game. There are so many games like that and its just too simple. You can do ANYTHING with this type of theme, use your imagination.

I saw the add in a CG Magazine the other day, and usually I pass by ads like these, but this one caught my eye. The ability to create your own race, ship, and empire amaze me, and I was wondering, how good is this ability. How is this ability to its extent. Are there unlockables to your ship building and empire building or can you get everything for you ship right off the bat. Just fill me in on the extent of this amazing feature. This game is really pulling me in and i haven't even played it ye
