Keep in mind these cars are built to take in air from outside as part of the process. Keep in mind, also, that these systems are under a lot more strain than your average sewer and that you have to empty out the stored water. Now, just off the top of my head, you're going to have to figure out a way to either dispose of the liquid or fit the number of necessary filtration and cleansing systems into a car while maintaining fuel efficiency at a reasonable level so that it can remain safe for human
Also i found the Earth Mimbari war in Babylon5 crapful for the same reason. The fact that Mimbari ships are invunerable to Terran weapons except when their great leader is on board is most idiotic!! And why couldn't Terrans learn from the Japaneese of WW2 and use suicide nuke runs to destroy Mimbari ships?? again, prooving it is a stupid story.
Actually, you're missing a lot of the story with that war. When the ship with the leader was on board in the attack that caused t
I remember watching a special on National Geographic about the formation of the universe, where they explained how Gravity of a body, say a sun, is essentially a distortion of space time around it. This way it explained how objects would intereact with gravitational forces but not break any of Newtons laws. That would acount for the redshift and the fact the light "bends" around large solar bodies, I would presume.
I'll have to do some searching, but if I rememb

I've been seeing a lot of buzz over cars that give off water vapor over the past few years. Now, admittedly, it's a nice idea to have a car that gives off what is considered a clean fuel. Alas, that's where the problem lies. Now, let's assume that, by clean, they mean "a gas that won't contribute to global warming," a.k.a. greenhouse gases. Of course, any time we need to see the worst possible result of greenhouse gases, we can just take a look at Venus. Yeah, I certainly wouldn't want
everything you need to know to make thermite, napalm or an atom bomb can be found online; and all the ingredients or the first two can be easily obtained (though to ignite thermite you need a magnesium strip, which is a taller order). that said, it sounds like a fun game. i miss playing D&D a lot sometimes, and i've never been able to get a stable group together as an adult.
Very fun group. Though, our game is better compared to DnD mixed with SR and Firefly. You

Please excuse me for not jumping in on the exact discussion going on right now. One thing I and several friends have done is develop our own scifi continuity for gaming. We don't deal with the steps to develop a drive based on modern technology. In fact, if you stop and think about it, any such drive developed would use physics that are simply beyond our current capacity to think up and would likely use equations that we can't even understand anyway. So, I deal with the issue of how it

To be honest, Blizzard is possibly one of the best companies for creating RTS games. They seem to figure out the mistakes they made with each game as well as learning from the successes of other games. For that reason, I know that StarCraft 2 is likely to take the best elements of the RTS industry and improve upon them. For example, their demonstration of the campaign for the game (I think you can find videos of it on Youtube). From details given in that demonstration, StarCraft 2 is go

I've always been interested in what a fantasy version of space travel would be like. Throughout a lot of the fantasy genre, you have all of the basics of what is needed to survive in space already in place. It would be interesting to see these elements brought together and made into a cohesive whole. It would also be interesting to see what you guys could do with it. Still, I look forward to it. It's been awhile since I've seen a fantasy strategy game that actually captivated me.

Welcome! I'm one of those players who played for awhile, then set it aside. Not because of any dislike of the game, but because I got into the mood for fantasy gaming for a bit. Luckily, this game covers what StarCraft and Dawn of War fail to cover in my game library.

Meh. That's actually kinda average. How many mining bases do they have? You need to do some serious recon and, if fighting these guys, take out those first. Then, you need to dodge around those and take planets. Oh, and those ships can be beaten. You need fleets with medium hulls, heavy on weapons and engines. The result is you can get a fleet with a much higher attack rating and easily take out the ship in the first round of fighing.

Okay, this is particularly interesting, but altogether simply means a new number that will be there until someone else makes another discovery that changes it again. Well, between that and my new sound card, this is an interesting start to my return.

Actually, Twelvefield, I think you're wrong in one area. Just because you're doing it more than an army of rabbits doesn't necessarily mean you talk about it. In fact, in real life, there are cultures and subsections of cultures who have taboos on discussion of that subject. Considering this is polite discussion, they may actually have a cultural taboo on discussion of that subject and simply don't bring it up.

Simple fact of it is this: All of the options I have seen for making good be more profitable to the players also makes it overbalanced. As it stands, the system balances out. Neutral doesn't gain the overwhelming immediate bonuses of evil, but also doesn't gain everyone wanting to beat it up. Neutral doesn't gain the alliance capacity of good, but does actually gain something in the short run. Evil gains a lot of immediate bonuses, but at the cost of everyone being against it (even other evil ra

FROOKIE- Go and check the bugs forum, specifically searching for someone complaining about posting issues on a topic that involves Dark Matter. I complained about the problem days before it got to be too much of an annoyance. The rest of your post I'm not really responding due to having quit the discussion. Feel free to tear my post apart, though. Trust me, getting the last word in is not my goal. In fact, I'd rather someone post after whatever my last post is. flayed_one- Check my word

Part of being good is making sacrifices. Part if being evil is doing whatever you can to get a gain, no matter who you have to sacrifice. Neutral goes the middle route, often not sacrificing as much as good and not gaining as much as evil. Now, what are the real rewards of good and evil? With Evil, you risk everyone attacking you. With good, you gain a lot of potential allies. With neutral, you don't gain anything or lose anything in that area. Good makes it easier to eventually control

Okay, I'm sorry about this, but I'm still having a forum issue with this topic and I can't locate the problem. It's not my version of IE, and nothing on the computer that I know of could cause this. And, no, I'm not switching to Firefox. Too much stuff I have to alter or replace, and as much as I joke about it, I like the IE setup. So, I'm withdrawing from all discussion on this topic.

Meh. I think it depends. There's another benefit. Have a planet that's having moral problems? Build thosen ships on it! You can reduce the population enough to get the moral up. Potential savings there.

Um, actually, multiplayer is a wholely different set of problems. Okay, let's take a look at a small company that specializes in getting multiplayer to work: Blizzard. To get an idea, they made their games, tested them, worked out the kinks of single player, and released them. With most one of them, it's taken years of effort to actually get multiplayer to work properly. With one game (Diablo 2), they actually gave up on it. In fact, they never intended to release another patch after 1.

Even with an interstellar empire, you're talking about hundreds of years. And, no, it wouldn't take us hundreds of years right now. It would take us three billion years. For Sol, you're only talking about building something with a mass approximately equal to Jupiter and Saturn combined. Including the moons and rings. And that's building it using the least amount of materials you possibly can. It would be easier and cost you less time and resources to build an entire planet from scratch. <br/
