Sorry it took me this long to get back to you CodeCritter, but I have been under the weather the last couple days ] In answer to your questions, I am playing Twilight, it does happen every time, and if i pulll the view out far enough, it does go away and you just have the standard stars view in the background. About the Tactial Map Zoom Level, mine was set at 25, should I make it higher or lower? And here is my debug from Twilight below: Debug Message: Version

Don't know if tbhis one has come up yet, so I'm gonna give it a shot I am using a custom race and also a mod by Maverick_MW to give me 5 great planets in my home system Howeever, for some reason, I am getting as a background when I pull back from my homeworld a view of the 3rd planet in my home system, instead of stars See here for yourself:
Anyone checking into the bugs about the Tech Trees in the Editors? Hopefully that cAn fix me up too
Haven't seen anything about this addressed yet, so I'm gonna give it a shot. I have been playing with both the Improvements and Tech Tree Editors, and I wanted to make up a tree for my custom race, the Therian Empire. Mostly I just wanted to make cosmetic changes to mostly the name and descriptions of things, to make them more to the race itself. I was trying this with the XML file for the Minor Race tech tree, and I did copy that and then changed the name to Therian_TechTree.xml. I
Does anyone have that same kinda feeling you got waiting on Christmas Eve as a kid? LOL
I was very excited anout the idea of the editors for TA, and I have one question about the Tech and Improvements editors. I wanted to know about making tech and improvements for a custom race, and if I will be able to give all of those techs and improvements unique names specifically for that race. Like for instance, I want to call all of the beam weapons Devastators, and each type of beam weapon would just be a higher level of Devastator, like a Laser would
I have been using the KHSM-DA mod with all the betas for TotA since I got it back in December. Even took some ship designs from the Star Trek mods and added them as stuctures so that I could use Romulan ships for my civilzation. I am wondering if I will be able to use the KHSM-DA mod when I get TofA's full version next week?
Okay, I am up to beta 6a so far, and the game is great, everything I could want and more, can't wait for the rest of the editors so that I can made more stuff for my custom race. But the thing is, when I got both DL and DA, they has the cool videos to set up the story for both, but I haven't see one yet got TotA. Could I be doing something wrong that is causing it not to play when I begin the game, or is the video something that won't be included until the full game release on Apri
While I am bummer out that the game I was playing for the last 3 months with the old beta will not play anymore (My Therian Empire was about ready to put an end to the Korath and Terrans once and for all), I am glad they fixed the issue I was having about zooming in and out in the Map Editor, since my Logitech track ball has no scroll wheel
Heck, I'm still trying to figure out how to zoom in and out of the maps I try to make since I don't have a scroll wheel on my Logitech trackball :p
Dude it's still the beta version I'm sure it will be in upcoming versions
Oh well, I just tried for my 1st time to get it and had the same issue :( I'm glad I ran into this thread 1st off, at least I know I can get it tommorow Anyone know whyat's in the new beta? Anymore editors?
Which is exactly why I got the download AND CD version :) Always have a backup
yeah there is a zoom mode and when you push ctrl you can have a 3d vision of the map
But how do I get to or access zoom mode? When I open Mode in my Map Editor, all I get are options for Select, Star, Planet, Rescourse, Ship, Asteroid Field, and Asencsion Crystals, but no Zoom
or use the mouse wheel
Can't do that :( I have a new Logitech trackball that has no mouse scroll on it I have also a new Logitech keyboard snd on that I can use the main +/- keys to zoom on the main display map in the game, and the +/- keys on the keypad, but it will not let me use either of those in the Map Editor
I have a question about the Map Editor, and I hope it doesn't make me look dumb When I open my editor and begin to add this like stars, planets, and others stuff everything shows up like very close up on the screen Is there a zoom-in/zoom-out feature that will allow me to zoom in and out when you design your maps that I am just not seeing?
You still have the option to leave the UP...Tell them where to stuff their laws.
Exactly Besides, look at it this way, the UP doesn't really matter if you just plan to conqure them all anyways
I prefer a desktop That way, I get to see everything on my Gateway 21" widescreen HD monitor and play my sound thought my stereo system
Download this: [link="http://symbolclick.com/"]WWW Link[/link] It's called XML Marker and I swear by it
And maybe there is no global warming in the game because you have the technology to control and prevent it I mean, if you can terraform then you have no problem with globaL WARMING, RIGHT?
Are those in XML files by any chance? And also do you mean a modeling program like an XML editor? No. The models you have are the .X files, but that's not a format that can readily be reopened in most modelling programs. They're likely in binary format as well so that counts out any chance of manually tinkering with them in a text editor. You would need the original files in the modelling program's native format
So then, how can I get the ship in the 2nd pic to have the colors of the ship in the 1st pic? Is this even possible? Not without editing the original source models in a modelling program, sorry. Are those in XML files by any chance? And also do you mean a modeling program like an XML editor? I do have one of those, all my XML files run in it, it's called XML Marker and it's very good, and be
Okay, I somehow managed to get the Star Trek ships from the Omega 2.0 DA mod to work in Kryo's Hull System mod by added them and then copying all the files from the Models folder in the Star Trek Beta LITE for DA mod, and they all worked, which is even more amazing since I am not able to write a mod of my own. I did it because I wanted my race to have Romulan ship designs to use. But what I really want to do is to get the Romulan, as well as all the other ship designs to show up using t
This would be one heck of a game for sure, but it will need one heck of a computer to run it as well
GOOD NEWS!!!! I started a thread on ExtremeSkins.com, the offical Washington Redskins board, and the first person to reply left me a link to the Intel website with a driver that was put out on 1/17/07. So I downloaded that and it worked!!!! The ships now all look the same Thanks kyro and No118 for all your help
