How's that Super Wizop? You mean there are same letters for the drives, i.e. one C: for the IDE and another C: for the SATA drive? That is because, I suppose when you assign a drive to be the Master having the OS booting from it, it is automatically assigned the C: letter, am I correct? I am upgrading for a MoBo with IDE and SATA connectors and before I begin would like to know it better. Thanx!

Yeah George, that's just it: no AV is perfect 'cuz what is perfect is utopic, and utopic is not real, anyway! Never tried BD9, and Trend Micro was a long time ago. Just like u Island, I was a Norton fan. Used SystemWorks mostly, when it seemed to work. Nowadays it's just a giant system hog. Even Symantec, as far as I know, has separated it from NAV in the pack. I've been using Kaspersky for about a month now. Got rid of the claws Symantec NAV had on me for a couple of years. I have tried AVG and Avast before, but decided by using KAV following suggestions of friends. I think AVG is lighter than Avast. Anyway, I'd better stop trying after spending couple of bucks to find heaven. My first opinion of KAV is that it's way too friendly and works well doing the job. I like it. I've been using Tweaknow Powerpack 2006 ---> http://www.tweaknow.com/powerPack.html It's very trustworthy and does the job automatically, not only for the Recycle but for almost anything on the desktop and beyond. I think it works better than Powertoys. Good luck!

Way to go Ooberman. Looking here and there I was able to find the problem. Restored to a previous point and found out I couldn't have disabled "COM+ Event System" and "COM+ System Application", these are needed by Broadcom Wireless. The rest is OK by now. Wish I could disable a few more useless services running, but I'm still testing and am not sure which. About the svchost.exe, can you tell me what it is and what it does in the background? Thanx a million!

I think you should take a look at https://forums.wincustomize.com/?ForumID=70&AID=81379#948745 This is a recurrent problem with Symantes stuff and you may find some good explanation to whats going on, although I didn't have any problem installing IE7 b3 and still using Norton 2005 - what a shame!

After insisting stubbornly, I actually DID make it work. At least before re-booting my PC. I followed yraq suggestion: Resized the second open window browser to the position I wanted (not closing the first one), closed the first one (usually maximized), surfed on the second one not resizing it , just to make sure , and then closed it. The best thing I have noticed about 5456 so far is they eased up on the security notices Yeah, all right. This is one of the nagging issues discussed previously. Unfortunately I only have the public build over here, and this is what it's all about so far. I was way too annoyed by this never ending security dialog box clicking!

Browser windows to open same place same size! in Windows XP WinCustomize Forums

I've been using IE7 beta 3 for sometime now. I want to know if anybody here can tell me how I make the new browser windows I open (following a link, for example), open in the same place in the screen and having the same size as before. Is there any registry change I have to perform? I'm asking you this because I sometimes could get the windows to behave the way I wanted, but it's been always by chance. I want to customize it. Where has VISTA build 5456 gone? in Windows Vista WinCustomize Forums

I have VISTA build 5381 up and running, although I can never make it update, a bug I presume. Fact is, I have read somewhere http://www.pro-networks.org/ about a 5456 build. Every time I went back to VISTA download page, I was shown to the 5381 build which I already have. Does anybody know where to get it? And why doesn't mine update? - Always show a message telling me that there is a problem wuth my connection, but when I ask it to correct, there is no problem at all! It doesn't run any more. A

It's very hard to tell which is "the best" of something. All th themes suggested here are of good quality and taste. The one which gets closer to what Vista really is is that suggested by Corky.
