Is there a way to disable races from surrendering to you? In every game races start to surrender to me which really takes the fun out of the game. Thanks for any help in advance.

@Spectarofdeath Check your email. Let me know if you are still having trouble on the Star Trek forum. Yeah that is an issue we know about and have changed in our upcoming beta. We have changed the hulls so the races can only use their own.

@LogicSequence Sorry man we’re going to have to agree to disagree on this subject. I’ve been part of the modeling scene for a while so I know what I’m talking about. No one is going to sue over the usage of a model. Say for example someone uses a Star Trek ship that I created. If I sue that individual CBS Studios is going to be all over me. It’s always best to find out the whole story before making comments. You are exactly right about asking permission before using someone’s work. No disrespect but I want you to understand the reality of what you’re asking. Converting models from different games is very time consuming. It took me months to learn how to use 3ds Max 8 and no there isn’t an inexpensive way to get 3ds. That’s why the modeling tutorials are virtual non existent. It would just take a long time for someone to put together a tutorial. Plus you would have to field a ton questions from everyone. As far as adding models from the different Star Trek

Kryo, thanks for the reply. So it wouldn't save resources or loading time if I included the dds files?

If I remember correctly the game converts the model textures to dds files on the fly. Would it help resource (memory) wise to include the dds files in the models directory so the game doesn’t have to convert them? If so what settings should I use when converting the .png file to dds? Thanks for any help in advance.

Now why on God's green earth would I release a model that you couldn't do something with? Of course you can use the model in the game just make sure you read the readme file before asking anymore questions.

Seeing there has been a great response to the thread I've decided to release the Daedalus ship. Please keep in mind that this is a preversion.
