Anyone really believe this is a bug? -- Come on -- they just don't want you replaying turns to get an outcome you like. Problem is you cann't save/load a game without lossing game integrity and the game does crash occassionally. And a game can take me a week or so to play on Gigantic map -- so have to minimize using contoll-alt-delete and leave comp on. Thanks developers! -- game is great -- otherwise wouldn't put up with it. ps bug -- no way -- if it was, they would ha

I've played 3 games all on gigantic maps with 9 opponents and with a custom race of my liking. And i regenerated maps till i got a homeworld with tile bonus's of my liking. I had no trouble winning 1st game at tough difficulty; even easier 2nd game at painful. Won the last game at suicidal level but it was a good tough game. From what i see, the difficulty level is for setting AI of the comp players. The main thing for how tough the game is for you is your starting homeworld and

Great , been asking for this all along -- would be great if it was in game. Would have saved me days of resaerch if i had this all along.

on 4: survey module cost to zero -- never done that wonder but don't think it is suppose to reduce survey module cost to 0 -- just allow you to explore anoalies with any ship wether it has a survey module or not -- survey modules are good for sensor radius too so that is prob why they are not reduced to 0.

I usually do a tech victory myself but only to save time -- by the time i can do a tech victory, i got the game won. I've only played gigantic maps and to finish off all the opponents would just take forever. Was sort of concerned that one of the computer players would go for a tech win but none of em did. Even on my Suicidal game. I'm pretty sure 1 of the computr plasyers could have beat me to a tech victorty in my game at suicidal level too -- Think i remember reading the developers

Oh just noticed i did n't address th unused proction cost issue -- Let me say that i believe how this is handled has changed from the retail to the 1.1 update to the 1.2 update. I'm not going to waste my time looking back at earlier versions but did notice that 1,2 update worked pretty wel and I didn't spend any time looking into it ( never noticed anything that caused me concern ). However i do believe i was probably right in my original post for the version i was playing at th

Ooops, wasn't done, -- have no idea what i did -- but to continue Well those are my reasons for saying the game is buggy. But there are many more little things i've seen while trying to figure out how the game works. I understand this is 1 huge and complex game -- But these are some of the basic building blocks of the game. But once again let me say -- i love so much else that i've seen in the game. Things that are so much more complex and hard to program i would th

Well I've finally finsihed 3 games and must say this is quite a great game. Love so much about it -- and lots of the features are great and very well done. Played 1 tough game first and won pretty easily -- then tried a painful game and won even easier. Just finished playing a suicidal game and won but it was riveting and a real good challenge. Of course i spent a lot of time between games evealuating my strategy so it did get better. I played gigantic map and did regenerate

i cann't play 1.1. Loading saved games does not even work. for me in 1.1 --- So I agree you haven't been standing still --just walking backwards ( on this issue for me at least )

I know the developers don't like hearing this but this game is buggy. The sliders for setting military production, social production, and resaerch are buggy as can be. -- Can you use em?, yes. but still for the one of the most basic things a micromanager is going to be adjusting, thet shoulkd be smooth -- and such an easy and small routine to program. Or is this another deliberate thing to discourage micromanaging. The extra round of ship moves with save/load is b

I play Colonization 3 or 4 times a year. Love it. Wish they would do an update. I like Alpha Centauri a lot too. -- like Civ2 but rarely play cause Alpha Centauri is so much better. Have only tried the demo of civ4 and didn't like what i saw. The only prob with those games is that the AI cheats and reacfts to the human player differently and to how the human player is doing in the game from info it gets from running the game rather than info it gets from playing a game race/n

Well GalCiv2 doesn't have a save/load feature that works without changing the game. An extra round of ship movements changes the game -- how many times does expansion come down to a 1turn differnce? Can this be exploited to your advantage?, probably. Can you save/load a game without the game being changed from continouse play?, Noooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! Please Stardock, i beg you, give us a save/load that does not affect the game. So what if some or even all<br/

The information on Planetary Improvements tech says that research is +10. However the only difference I noticed after getting the tech is that the cost of techs went up alittle less than 10%, saw no difference in how many TPs I got. Specifically Advanced Computing cost 64 RP before I got Planetary Improvements and 69 RP after.( didn't actually research Advanced Computing just keeping track of its cost in RPs ) Got these numbers by temporarily setting my research

Came to the same conclusion that it is deliberate after thinking it over for a bit. Welcome to a new ethical era. Goes well with the game ( new ethics that is ). BTW just found another bug that diesn't make any sense.

ROFL, I'ld expect a fix for something like this in like 2 days max. I was passing up the extra moves figuring it was just me getting them -- then ran into the others and noticed they got it too -- well back to the start again. Wouldn't be bad but I'm a micromanager and so lost a bunch of time and it does change the game. I consider it a pretty big SNAFU myself but what the heck -- sure hope this great AI in game is gonna make it worth putting up with this and the many other

Everytime I save and then load a game -- my ships get an extra round of moves and so do the computer controlled races. Got the Collector's Edition and have installed the 1.11 update and collector's edition stuff except for the desktop stuff. Sort of hard to study the game and come up with strategy's with this happening.

Whenever i load a saved game wether it is at beginning or end of a move --- all my ships get an extra round of moves and apparrently so do the computer controlled races. What's Up?
