Save/Load

extra ship moves

Everytime I save and then load a game -- my ships get an extra round of moves and so do the computer controlled
races. Got the Collector's Edition and have installed the 1.11 update and collector's edition stuff except for the
desktop stuff. Sort of hard to study the game and come up with strategy's with this happening.

check the posts this is been reported many times. Basically as I understand it, both the ai and player get an extra turn of move with no production.

ROFL, I'ld expect a fix for something like this in like 2 days max. I was passing up the extra moves figuring it
was just me getting them -- then ran into the others and noticed they got it too -- well back to the start again.
Wouldn't be bad but I'm a micromanager and so lost a bunch of time and it does change the game. I consider
it a pretty big SNAFU myself but what the heck -- sure hope this great AI in game is gonna make it worth putting
up with this and the many other little quirks I've found in less than 2 days. Never had problems like this in
Civ, Civ2, Colonization, MOO2, Alpha Centauri and Imperiallism2 but hey they are all old games with AI that
cheats.

For some reason, no attention is paid to this problem and many have concluded it's a deliberate feature. I think it's stupid and should be at very least made optional.

here is the main thread about this issue :

as you can see it has been acknowledged but isn't high on the priority list

Came to the same conclusion that it is deliberate after thinking it over for a bit. Welcome to a new ethical era. Goes well with the game ( new ethics that is ). BTW just found another bug that diesn't make any sense.

Trolling
Insightful

It is on our list but it isn't at the top of the priority list. We understand why some people think this is a big deal but please remember that everyone has their favorite feature/pet peeve/whatever.

1.2 is scheduled for this Month. If one looks at the list of improvements we made in 1.1, I think the case can be made that we haven't been exactly sitting around.
