sounds good to me. Any other comments or ideas? I think this would a great addition to the game

I had suggested some of this before, and I LOVE your nova idea. Maybe even an evil tech that allows nova causing weapons, rendering entire systems uninhabitable. But maybe it is so big of a weapon you need to own a planet in the system to use it. (Maybe allow planetary shields too...come to think of it, that would be cool anyway. Shut down all production + planet growth on a planet, and spend X bc per turn to run shield, but planet and ships in orbit are untouchable, big idea here) me

2. The game needs a better technology map, as it works well but i can hardly make out what needs to go next( like understanding better of why I need to have a phasor 1, 2 and 3), I wish you had it built like civilization 4, or at least make it its own screen big enough to look through it from end to begining easier. There is an option to show a

I am guilty of skipping to the bottom of this thread, so flog me if you must I think that weapons should ONLY be scaled in damage/size ratio if tatical combat is also added. A larger weapon, while using the same base technology, would be more powerful because it would have more power to draw on, or more ammo, or allow a larger recoil (and thus larger slug rounds). But it would be harder to aim, and would raise the overall mass of the ship (resulting in lower manouvering ability).

There's an option somewhere that controls whether or not upgrading ships strips them of their original config. just open up the options menu and hunt around

I have a ship designed called the oculus, which is a tiny cheap ship with maxed sensors I usually keep it in orbit, so i can mobilize defenses before the enemy ships arrive. I mostly used it in the campagin, because i needed to intercept overlord troop transports before they landed, and now i usually bundle one with an attack/invasion fleet to help interception and so i don't waste that massive troop transport on a class 7, when a class 26 was just over there

Very much agree. I've been playing these games since alpha centauri (man that was a cool game!) and i've never managed to have one single successful multiplayer game I'd also like to add that multiplayer might SEEM attractive, but the reality is that even in faster paced games like Homeworld 2, its difficult to find an opponent willing or able to sit there with you for the entire length of tim

Would it really be worth it? i mean, those ships are pretty small, even at the larger hull sizes. i would much rather see hero/special ships

LoL...the staggering waste of production to build a fleet of ships, and the cost to upgrade them all pretty much rules out the actual value of such an exploit, don't you think?

LOL, well to add my voice to such a distinguished chorus and to celebrate my first post after weeks of lurking... I Disagree that there should be a confirmation: i want to skip forward 12 turns, and i have to click "ok" 12 times? I think we, as self aware beings, can handle whether or not to click a very big button I Do agree that the sound should be updated, it is waaay to subtle AND I MUST ADD, FOR COLOR BLIND PEOPLE PLEASE CHANGE THE COLOR!!!!! when a turn is
