I'm having an issue where there are no planet textures, they are just black blobs with a slight glow around them. I had an issue with my CD when I tried to reinstall, so I d/l the game off of SC. When I ran it it said the version was 1.2 beta 2 so I applied the 1.2 patch... Was applying the patch a mistake? Ok I'm playing my first game of GCII and am trying to form an alliance with an opponent (well all opponents just to end it). I managed to get an alliance with 3 of the 5 opponents by first giving them the Alliance tech. The other two I have given the Alliance tech to but Alliance does not show up as a diplomatic option... What am I doing wrong? Also is there any way to search these forums?
