i would love the terror stars too, heck if you were to find the old threads youd see loads of people with, and maybe an option to disable them for those who dont want them.

strike first, the Drengin, Altarian and Arcean are the usual suspects, try tweaking the AI of the others, so keep the aove 3 at intelligent, but make other races, the dead ones (terran,thalan) higher.

well it depends, i mean remember planets have a pop limit depending on PQ, also the PQ gives a bonus to the approval, so its best to build onlbig planets, its best to have a couple extra entertainment structures vs farms, like 3 ent. for 2 farms, or 7 ent. for 5 farms, high pop is good for money (tax) better than building economic buildings, also transports, and it harder to invade.

I have to say, the best min fix i have seen is with the invader mod, where you actually need a certain level of miniturization to get weapons and defenses. something like that would work well, and also what compnents dont change in size, i though they all did.

In some places it says only one race is getting destroyed, anyway, it may even be the Drengin, in which case you'd have, sort of, another drengin race anyway, to be honest, id prefer they wiped out the humans, though it would never happen,

or use the galciv builder (stickied at the top) to create your own, like planet quality and where exactly each star is, then play it as a custom map.

oo, yeah, nice idea, let it get out of colntrol (pop stops growing at 40%, reverses at, 20% i think) then use information warfae, like the person above said.

the races are balanced, just in different ways, like the korx for example, get a PQ 10 and a PQ 8 planet, and fair bonuses, whereas say the iconians, get a PQ14 planet, lots of techs, but no bonuses, see what i mean?

well, i quite like the whole 'you should of never given these inferior races the hyperdrive' with the Thalan, and also, ive started choosing evil, i have to say its much more fun, as will good probably be, i've always chosen neutral, for the bonuses, but recently when playing as the Korx, i chose evil, and its great, i mean the diploomacy side, how other evil races contact you about the threat of the Altarians, and we should work together to bring evil to the galaxy. mine are working (though not on the planet screen -was i supposed to seem them there) but you have to zoom in, and also altering your ambient light can diminsh the effects.

tech trading doesnt affect it i think, and its fine to set espionage to 0 once you've reached advanced, maybe you're just unlucky?

i have had a similiar problem to the OP too, again on a tiny map, the computer did pretty much nothing, so i undertook a little espionage, and their homeplanets (again they only colonised their second planet) were all underdeveloped,as in 3 years later 1 factory a research centre and a market, similiar with all the races, there were no building in the que either.
