Lol, altarians are a letdown, they should just give up and join the humans permanently, as for the Torians, i rather like the Torians, they can stay.

Mabye i'm just hoping for a reincarnation of MOO2 but i'd like to see tactical battles like they had there, with each ship moving according to its speed, firing weapons, and each side taking turns waging it out. Of course mabye a more Homeworldish system would be better.
I have a game currently where the Dark Yor are the most powerful enemy race, they must have gotten lucky but they currently have 12 planets controlled, even after i have taken 3 from them.
Well i've just come up with a couple of other things that might be cool. Sorry if they've already been touched on. Ok i'd like to have the ability to blow up planets, it would be cool to be able to do, you could balance it by making it make you evil, and or costing a lot of money, and or taking several turns to complete. Another thought i had was of an auto ship naming system built into the game. Like the game would have a database of ship names, that it would randomly apply
A carrier would be kinda cool, used solely for boarding. Also i just patched the game with the lastest patch and downloaded the collectors edition comment, but now when i go to the design ship screen i cant rotate parts, whats the deal?
It might be a different genre but look at how many casual gamers play World of Warcraft, sometimes a mutliplayer community will lure a large fanbase of casual players who never would have played if they couldnt play with their buddies. Granted this game isnt for the feint of heart, so the casual gamer probably won't commit to GalCiv2 anyhow.
Yah i was thinking more of a secruity thing, like tlwhite mentioned, the ships would support their own security based on ship size. Also for the verbal recognition i see what you mean Nellup.
Holy crap what do you people do for a living. I think you just caused my brain to shut down... ...and were back.. But more to the original point before you scientist all started debating, i think that adding gravity equipment to the game would just be so much fluff.
Multiplayer.
This game is dying for some multiplayer, and personally i'd love to see it. Itd be just like back in the day when i'd stay up all night playing Master of Orion 2 with a coupla buddies.
Well ive been thinking and heres a couple of things that might improve the game a little. I'd like to see some ship boarding type of combat, i've fought some pretty tough enemy ships and it would have been cool to be able to board them ala MoO. I think it'd be nice to have some acknowledgement when i tell things to do something, like ships move or my scientist to follow a certain research path, like verbal recognition of my order, kinda like in Warcraft or Warhammer Dawn of
Well a guy on the chat program named Greenreaper helped me out and i seem to be getting somewhere now. He told me to go to View and click on "Show Prerelease (Beta) versions. Which seems to have made the difference.
I'm getting the same URL invalid failure as those before me, i just tried changing server from cal to us 4 and chicago, but it didnt make a difference, i disabled norton earlier to see if that made a difference, didnt, i checked your chat program in stardock for assistance, didnt find any, so i just scanned this article, if i missed something i will go back and find it and correct this error i'm having. However i noticed in several locations that individuals have had this problem, and that is h
