Heh...where to begin While your allies can fight the read lords they are mostly useless... Firstly, they havea tendency of colonozing every available planet in the vicinity, forming a ring around you at the very begining of the mission nad preventing your expansion...Researching tech takes A FRIGGIN LOT when you only have 2 planets to work with...not to mention that your allies, to whom you graciously give tech and money to keep them alive, never give you any tech back. <br

They can be usefull.. Actually, I mostly use smaller ships. I make strike forces of heavy fighters (nano rippers and disruptors with those 6 points shields) that simply tear the enemy to shreads

Strange...whenever I play a game (usually with 7-8 opponents) I'm having a hard time surviving. Despite the fact that I make my race very creative and research orianted, and that I prioritize research and build labs (researching their upgrades as fast as I can), the AI race ALLWAYS have more tech than me..a lot more.. Now to adress the issues: 1. I don't see what's wrong with tactical combat. It's a FUN and STRATEGIC thing. Jsut becouse you (or some

I enjoy playing GalCiv2 so far, but there are some aspect where it could preform much better. Let's start: 1. SHIP COMBAT - the ability to have some degree of control over the battle (could be researched - like Remote Field Command tech). Something like in Birth of the Federation. Basicly you can select a single ship, all ships of the same class or a group of ships that fit the same category (command ship, scouts, fast attack ships, assault ships, non-combat..) a
