On a completely separate note, is it just me or are some of the ships in those screenies obscenely massive? I don't recall seeing anything about new larger hulls being added to DA but woohoo them things are BIG! It may be that larger hulls now just appear larger in the combat viewer, for dramatic effect. But a larger hull may be a good thing. Acc

And another important question would be: What X race can populate Y planet? Yor - Barren Iconians - Toxic, Aquatic All other races can colonize only the defalt planets, whatever they may be.

These will certainly add to the game. The Korx look like they got the short end of the stick though. It seems like a race can just research the three trade techs to be on equal footing. There is a long term benifit: The Korx are the first who can build the Economic Capital, Restaurant of Eternity, Galactic Privateer, and the Galactic Baazar.

I have a slight update for my proposal. In v. 1.3, the AI is not so trusting af their allies. I once got a message from the Arceans to "Get your transports out now!" Really, that's what they said! Short and to the point. I still think, however, that it would be best if "War" and "alliance" were not points on the relation bar, but seperate treaties, if possible. Both of these things will come with an relationship modifier. ("-- War" "++ Alliance")

I think that the HP of starbases should increase as you research certain techs: specifically, some hull techs, starbase fortification techs, and starbase defense techs. HP would not increase with ALL of these techs, just a statigic few.

I had one game where 2 civs attacked without warning. Does not happen very often, though. That is the point, itn't it? It does not happen often enough. They need to do it more often. In other words, they need to prepare for war before they declair it.

I have noticed that the AI, when they declare war, never preforms sneak attacks. I think I know where a possible solution can be found. The AI in Civilization IV have their own set of problems, but preforming sneak attacks is not one of them. If stardock can figure out who this was done, it could be a great improvement to the AI.

Name another non - planet (stars excluded) that is as well known. Halies Comet is well known. One of the reasons that Pluto is no longer a planet is that scientists think Pluto is just a giant comet.

151 hit points is too much in the beginning. As I said earlier, it should go up when you research certain techs.

I think that the amount of HP that starbases have is fine at the begining, but for scalability, it could go up with techs, such as the Fortification techs and, in the 1.2 mod, the hull design techs.

The proplem is, I think, is that even a Gigantic map cannot convey the immensity of the entier galaxy. I always saw the maps as portions of the Galaxy.

Thanks, Darth Kyro. You do not work for/with Stardock, by any chance? The way you said "Stardock is watching, even if WE don't reply" makes it sound like you do. But anyway, I have posted my idea in the topic Dark Avatar: Which features do you want the most? I hope someone "up there" has seen in now. And while Stardock is at it, they might as well make it possible to break alliances with Minor races. It is because of this alone that I never make alliances with them.

In the game files there is a video file that shows a starship skimming an ocean surface, presumably the video to a random event. like other events, the text starts with "meanwhile..." The only event I can think of that starts like that is when a Minor Race steals techs and wants to trade. However, I do not think that video was on an ocean.
