Crashes on Loading QuickSave in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

I have a somewhat underpowered laptop which on the lower setting has run the game to my satisfaction, albeit with the occassional randon crash. My present game is set to the largest galactic setting with some of the graphical features turned off. Recently downloaded vs.1.1. Played well last night. Today it's crashing right after loading when the game screen should appear. It has a good load time but continues to crash, not letting me play my present game which has some good time invested.
