Getting a glitch with emoticons. Wierd. I add a spock, and get spock surrounded by two cool smileys and giberish.

Precursor Rangers aren't mega events, as they occur even if mega events are dissabled.[e digicons](\B):vulcan:(\B)[/e]
[e digicons](\B):vulcan:(\B)[/e] I agree that it is a hoax. The climate is always in flux due to countless, naturally occurring factors. Politicians and some companies are making millions off of this and some even get a Nobel prize for it.
I saw once when there was already a planet with base quality in the 20's which the Korx owned, then they found a precurser device on that world which doubled it's base quality, then, having the orbital teriformer, I conquered it and it became 65! [e digicons]:D[/e]
I've explored this as well. On a large planet (qual 16 or more) I had alot of Galactive Stock Exchanges (GSE) and one Intense Farming thingy (xeno farm III) bringing it up to 15b population. When I replaced one GSE with a food dist network, it broght it to 18b but the income dropped. It depends. If you have few GSE's on the planet, go ahead and max your pop for taxes, but if you have lots of GSE's don't go beyond one farm or the gains will be offset by the maint' of th
They work, but the size and maintenence is worse than just adding more deffence which is probably more effective anyway. sheeshe!
Almost everyone has a video card with two monitor outputs. Zing! I'm sure our wives will understand the need.[e digicons]:dur:[/e]
Did you know that you can get two Xantinum Hull Platings? I conquered a world where it was already half way built, placed another on a blank tile and it built both of them and each time it said "no additional may be built" TA v2.03 [e digicons]*_*[/e] I wonder if it works on other trade good super projects! BWA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAA!
At the onset of war, my first move is always destroy the mining starbases and take the resources (if possible). That can make all the difference in the verse. A race can dominate quickly if it has enough green resources, and can loose military might instantly if you take them as they can no longer afford the maintenence. Taking planets away also rapidly diminishes the enemy's financial capacity. Have many spies on hand as well. A spy placed on a farm will in on
[e digicons]:fuzzy:[/e] A few ideas... First, once you research Star Federation, you can invite minor races to join your empire with a certain degree of independence, like Star Trek and also as the USA was envisioned. Second, why not allow a colony to produce more than one ship per turn? If it's got the resources, why not? And give me a QUE too! After all, GC2 will allow more than one tech to be completed in sequence in a single turn. Third
I'd like to see a 3D environments for galactic, solar systems and planetary levels. Three environments. In otherwords, while panning, zooming and rotating through the galaxy, you see cube-shaped sectors with a 3-axis grid, stars, impassible nebulea, ship icons and paths. When you double-click on a star, it opens up to view of the solar system depicting the central star/stars, planets with orbit lines and asteroid belts. Then perhaps zooming in to view a particular
[e digicons]:D[/e] I KNOW! Lame isn't it? Almost as lame as this answer.
I have the game legally, but I've seen it happen too. I haven't seen it in a while, so maybe the updates fixed it. We'll see.
It's a stupid mega event. I mean, how could it happen in reality if the game were a reality? I just save oft and reload when it happens. One time, though it wasn't that bad and I went with it and all of the planets that I lost came back due to my magnanimous influence. Eventually they all fell back to their old empires one way or another. If the effect is bad enough, I just reload because it's really a silly concept anyway. Where were
This happened to me too. It wasn't actually a crash. I minimized the game (dual core CPU) and saw a pop-up which said "save aborted" and I also had a balloon on the task bar stating that I was low on virtual memory. Virtual memory is when your work demands more RAM than you have, so it spills over onto the hard drive and begins using it for additional RAM. This is why more RAM makes things faster! I opened Task Manager and saw that my page file totaled 2.47GB. I have only 1GB RAM, so it wa
Yeah, I do get a little happy talking politics. I'm better now. If you happen to run into your 97th cousin, tell him we need an Excessive Overkill for GalCiv2.
WHOOHOO! MONEY MONEY MONEY MONEY. Money results from a satisfied market. No show? No dough. A Limbaugh party ideology, (not that he originated it): I don't need the gov't holding my hand through life. They aren't my Maker. They aren't my Savior. They aren't my concience. I need them to enforce the law, protect my freedom and democracy, and stay the heck out of the way. With God and
DESCENT 3'ish. I love the genre. Only thing I didn't like about D3 was you're in a ship that can traverse the solar system, but play in maps where you can't exceed about 15mph. I still play through D3 from time to time, ~1/year What I'd like to see on a new Descent-genre game: bigger maps, cooler weapons, faster boost, and robotic apendages that reach out and pick up power-ups and install
I want a Limbaugh Party!!!
Which party would the major news media be aligned with?
CRAZYOID!!! You can still find it's demo at file planet, but it doesn't run well on an OS beyond Win 98. It was produced by a Canadian company called: "Magorum Praeda Interactive Inc." who is history. It was a fun, top-down asteroids-like shooter where you fight organic alien ships and blast asteroids to mine resources that allowed you to upgrade your ship. You'd max out your storage and warp back to your starbase to purchase upgrades and repairs. It featured" a map screen of the
This is an awesome game! In fact, it inspires me to ideas for future gaming possibilities. I'd like to be able to: Utilize multiple monitors, each one displaying different screens out of the game. Then, I'd like to see touch screen support or multi-mouse. You can get PCI video cards at walmart and use them for the 2D rendered graphics i.e. colony management, research, etc... at tw
Here's a trick for you if you want your empire-wide AR to sky-rocket! Step 1. Quicksave (in case it backfires) Step 2. raise taxes to 100% and lower spending to 0. Step 3. spend two turns (cross your fingers) Step 4. drop your taxes back to ~25-30% and increase spending. You'll have (if it worked) and imediate
I'm still confused about approval. I can have two planets, both the same class, projects, population etc with vastly different approvals i.e. 100% on one and 44% on the other. I notice with every game, that my approval rating steadily declines throughout the game no matter what I do...with one exception...taxes. Here's a trick for you if you want your empire-wide AR to sky-rocket! Step 1. Quicksave (in case it backfires) <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smile
