I have ObjectDock Plus 1.90 Plus build 535u, running on Windows 7 x64. Whenever I run iTunes, and right-click on the app icon in the running tasks dock, it hangs ObjectDock. Has anyone else reported this bug?

I upgraded to ObjectDock Plus 2. In v1, whenever I went into the configuration screen there was an About button that gave me the version info and all the fun stuff. V2 doesn't seem to have that. How do I find out what version I have?
It was definitely a Windows Update. I downloaded/installed a batch of updates yesterday, then rebooted. Thanks, all, for the posts! Helped me resolve it in about 5 minutes.
The weather feeds are gone, what happened?
Well...I hate to admit it, but I have been a computer programmer/user for 32 years now. I'd say I am a power user. My advice? Windows Vista is the best thing for Apple. I'm buying a Mac. Not a single one of my customers has gone to Vista, for good reason. Their benchmarks between XP & Vista show a 80-90% reduction in software performance. I think Microsoft will eventually fix the problems, but now's a good excuse to break out of the monopoly. You can run Windows software on the Mac. Oh,
Maybe I'm spoiled - but then again, maybe I'm a power user. I don't think of an app that accumulates to 40MB as a large one. Not to sound flippant, just a question - how about using Microsoft's strategy - buy more RAM? I assume that 40MB is a peak, or do you see it get much larger over time? Mine takes up over 25MB on load, and I have 3 auto-hiding docks, 1 tabbed dock, and 1 always-showing (task bar) dock. Ever since I upgraded to OD+, I was able to make a Sys Tray dock and get rid
As a Windows user for 18 years, I would have to agree - there is a lot of behavior that is firmly under the control of Windows, and not us programmers. First, I should mention I purchased OD+ almost a year ago, and I love it. But, I have the opposite problem - I want it to always be on top. I find that sometimes, after having been running for a while (like a few days), it seems to lose it's Always on Top - the setting is turned on, but it doesn't stay on top any more unless I quit & r
- WWW link - thanks for that! I didn't know about it. My Stardock Central login doesn't work on it, so I probably have to create one. - MSN behavior - yes, if I quit OD+, then new chat windows open up just like normal. When OD+ is running, they come up minimized. Strange, that is the only app I have that problem with. <img src="http://images3.stardock.co
Question - are you using the latest OD+ 1.5? I never checked this feature in older versions, but in the Dock Settings screen, under Positioning, is "Reserve edge of screen". This will reserve the docked edge of the screen and shrink maximized application windows so they don't overlap. Personally, I've never been bothered by the overlap. The only non-auto-hiding dock I have is the center-bottom of the screen. Whever I have some icons or something I want to click down there (rarely),
I've been posting about the problem with Messenger chat windows opening up minimized for months now, never seen a reply. Does anyone from StarDock check these posts? I think a simple fix would be to add some options to the Dock Properties, so that we could force windows to open up in various modes for certain classes of windows. That way, for the Messenger Chat class, we could force it to open up "Normal" or "Maximized" or whatever.
Does anyone have this issue? I am using MSN Windows Live Messenger. Whenever someone initiates a chat with me, the chat window starts up minimized. So, if I have my sound turned off, and am not looking at my running tasks dock, or if I am not at my machine at the moment they start a chat, then I usually don't notice it. Really annoying! Of course, OD+ has always done it since I bought it back towards the beginning of the year, and now I have the lat
I might add, as soon as I saw my friend running the purchased version, I signed on that night and bought it. That was at the beginning of the year, and I still love it. Love the tray icons, love the SysInfo docklet. I travel a lot, and am in front of customers giving presentations or guiding meetings - I almost always get people who say "Hey, what's that Mac icon thing?" or "What's that cool icon menu you have?" Thanks for a great product at a reasonable price. <a href="http
Still, the mouseover response could be an option - the more people you make happy, the more people buy the product...
I have noticed that my docks (all of which are Always on Top) aren't Always on Top any more after the 1.5 upgrade. A lot of times they get shuffled to behind the MS Office applications. Anyone else have that? I have 1 tabbed dock, 1 running tasks dock, and 3 autohiding docks.
I assume it is not autohiding? Mine is autohiding, and it works great.
When I upgraded to OD+ at the beginning of the year, it worked great. That was my big reason for upgrading - the tray & flyout menus. 1) Just to verify, when you create a new dock, on the Contents, you check off the option "Show system tray icons on the dock", right? 2) When you create the Quick Launch on your dock, you right-click, "Add new flyout menu", and on the Dock Properties dialog, and change the folder to "Quick Launch". That should do it! <a href="https://w
I got the 1.50 release, and fixed all the issues! Great work!
Hmm, it's easy enough to hide the desktop icons. To get rid of the Recycle Bin, you have to change your desktop to Active Desktop. !! Big time ditto on hiding certain tray icons + Being able to force groupings on the tray icons + Able to add a Separator at the end of the tray dock, and have it stay at the end after new tray icons appear + Easier interface on tabbed docks to skin them - I'd like to be able to browse & pick a s
I just upgraded OD+ to the new version, and it broke the Sys Tray dock! 1. I used Zoom effect, when I mouse over now, the zoomed icon is offset to the left of the mouse pointer by about 2 inches on the screen. 2. I changed effect to Afterglow, and now when I mouse over all the way to the right (the dock is on the bottom right of the screen), the far left of the dock starts wiggling like it is trying to zoom. Also, a suggestion: I would REALLY like to
I downloaded the free Halloween Desktop, and it is great, but whenever I browse a web page in Firefox, it jumps up & down - really annoying. I am using Firefox 2.0 beta. This does not happen in IE. Does anyone know how to turn it off?
The longer OD+ is running, the slower it gets. It gets to the point when I mouse-over the icons, the machine comes to a screeching halt and waits for it do do the effect. When I quit OD+ and restart it, it is back to its normal happy self. Perhaps what is needed is an auto-restart feature as a workaround, that will clean up garbage in memory.
As far as #1, what you can do is use the zoom effect on the tray icons, and make the unzoomed icons very small. I too have a lot of stuff running, but it works well (also helps to have high resolution on the laptop monitor). #2, what can't you do? I right click, and I get the same menu picks as on the Windows Taskbar, plus "Dock Entry Properties" and "Add this application to the Dock"... I used OD (free) for 2 or 3 weeks, and was pretty content (except with the Taskbar Icon d
I used OD (free) for 2 or 3 weeks, and was pretty content, until the coworker who showed me it in the first place, showed me the OD+ he had just bought & installed. Here's what I loved about OD+: 1. Multiple docks - I don't have to have one big dock 2. Flyouts - I can have a flyout submenu, again helps organize 3. Tabbed docks - yes, cool 4. The biggie! A stable dock that shows Windows tray icons, and not just in one docklet, but separately. Fin
Silly question - did you purchase the registration for OD+? The free one doesn't support tabbed docks. In OD+, you go to the Dock Settings dialog, click the "My Docks" button on the bottom, then there are buttons "Create New Dock" and "Create new tabbed dock" right underneath it. OK, boy do I feel dumb - I jus
I've got OD+, and I have some stability issues. I am just using the basic docklets that came with it, nothing fancy, but I do have 3 autohiding docks, one permanently visible, and a tabbed dock. Periodically, I'd say about once every week or two, it crashes. Also, more often, like once a day or two, it hangs or becomes so slow I have to quit & restart it. Finally, and this happens quite a bit, there are some effect problems. For example, my running tasks dock I use the swing effect, and som
