Galaxy creation leaves a lot to be desired after 0.65ish. I've yet to see more than 5-6 sectors on the second highest size and they're always connected like pearls on a string so there's a max of two substreams in any sector. With 15 ai races that means that both exploration (you pretty much know how many races will be in each sector and since there's only five or six you can explore all of it very quickly) and expansion (given the close proximity sectors also fill up very quick
I just wanted to announce to y'all that I'm leaving. I'm getting a PS5 and I'm going to start doing some content on elder scrolls online and I am also going to start twitch. Whenever they put in the civilization creator, I'm thinking about creating an elder scrolls civ with Nirn as the home planet. I will probably do one more video on that.
Cheers for your videos and have fun with Elder

The current map size is way too small and predictable in layout. Previously the second highest galaxy setting would give 30 sectors or so so there was plenty of space for 15 ai races and minors with a lot of empty sectors as well. Furthermore, the layout was random with hyperlanes going off in various directions. Now everyone is clumped together in five or six sectors and they're all attached like pearls on a string so it's very predictable where all the other race

I.e. each additional citizen lowers population growth.
I'm not sure that is a bug. I could be mistaken but I think it's by design that population grows slower the higher it is. The rate of g
This is a huge change. I am glad players have a pathway to add more stuff to their ships. New technology: Flexible Bulkheads: +1 component slots to all ship sizes. [uncommon] New technology: Extreme Miniaturization: 1 + 25% more component slots to all ship sizes. [rare].

As for resources, what's the plan with them? Apart from a few, Thulium for sensors, Antimatter for Powerplants and Techapod Hives and Hyper Silicates for Starbase upgrades, most seem to not be very important. I can always get three whatever from the Bazaar to build a single key wonder but the vast majority have no continuous use like the others. Will this change in the final release? And, if so, can you say anything about the plan?

As the title suggests, the single biggest QoL improvement for me would be to add the planet population window, including growth, to the shipyard. I spend a lot of time clicking the "shipyard empty" icons, then closing that shipyard to click on the planet to see if there's any excess population and, if so, if its someone I'd rather put in a constructor than a colony ship, then back to the shipyard to produce whatever ships I need only for the process to start all over again when the qu

Would it be possible to make Chimeric Biomass and all the terraforming techs give charges to a single terraforming action/building on a planet? Very frequently I'm able to terraform, say, three tiles with the first terraforming tech but subesquent techs don't necessarily select the same tiles which makes planning impossible and is super frustrating since so much of the bonuses come from adjacency. If they insted just gave a charge to a single terraforming building or action and allowe

I have encountered a few minor races in different games but the last one seems to be a bit bugged. Previously I was asked to research a tech for them and after doing it I could speak to them and get a reward. The current one asked me to destroy 7 pirate fleets and after doing so the quest disappeared from the left of the main screen but the dialogue window is stuck on either saying nothing or declaring war. The accept button is greyed out.
I think they should lower the population growth rate in the next version. I avoid all of the life relics. Never assign a minister of health. I basically avoid every policy or anything else that could lead to population growth. I always use eugenics and keep that disease mission going just the lower population growth, And my population still grows so fast that I halfway through the game I'm building pop ships I can't even use just to g

In a new game I've run into sort of a luxury problem with too many good planets to colonise. There are about 10 class 14+ planets so if I turn them all into core worlds they'll have very few colonies each. Due to clustering some might not even have any. What do you all do in such situations?

I'd love to see more sorting options for colonies and uncolonised planets akin to the resource icon suggested here. Which of my colonies have a mining upgrade available? I may have just researched Snuggler farms but not Xanthium extractors so which ones can I upgrade now? And which of the uncolonised planets that I know of have a particular resource I'm looking for? Currently there's no easy way to see this and it's quite micromanagement heavy having to click through 200 individ
Is this the Manage Empire or Manage Economy screen? Where you could see all your colonies, your finances, how many trade routes used vs available, and the status of each colon on something like a spreadsheet? Planet size, population, research, production, shipyard, etc. I was shocked that they removed this. Yes, bring this back. This was great for managing your Empire. Don't "dumb the game down."
