happy new year to the christmas people:-)
in my opinion there is no point playing anything else than twilight of arnor. it's basically the same game as dreadlords or dark avatar, just with slightly better graphics and much better ruleset:) on the other hand toa is much, much more difficult than dl or da, so if you are new to this kind of games you might want to consider playing previous 'chapters'. imo you learn how to swim in deep water quicker than in shallow, besides lower difficulties are quite easy anyway (once i got my ass hand
i recall updating vanilla gc2 with no probs, so i guess the problem lies on yours or your's provider's side. try reinstalling gc2 completely maybe?
is this what you're looking for? as one of the stickies, may be really difficult to find:p https://forums.galciv2.com/306176
i assume you play twilight of arnor, each civilisation has different tech tree here and more or less different starting techs. also, each civ can complete their own specific galactic wonder (i guess it's techtree dependant which one) that is very cheap and not avaliable to others.
veray nice reading and that trick with upgrading your miner into scout ship is really neat:)
i got that edition as well, very nice, metal-like, box. one of my favorites... anyway those extra parts were included in one of the previous patches, so you should have them already installed.
hello if both of you have researched necessary tech (alliances) and both of you are not in alliance, you can propose it during diplomatic negotiations.
[quote who="Solipso" reply="7" id="1963827"] But maybe, by suggesting that this game may not be for me, you are trying to provide me with incentive not to play it. Okay, I think it's reasonable to keep an open mind when someone suggests something. I'll follow your lead. I hereby quit. After finishing this post, I will uninstall Galactic Civilizations II and its two expansions packs, and I will deposit my Gold Edition in the trash barrel down the hall from me. This game and this message b
hello greenchaos! expansions work basically the same way like in civilization, they upgrade ruleset and add new options. campaigns can be played using any ruleset, so i wouldn't bother with dl and da but start with toa straightaway.
there is no dreadlords ruleset implemented in eu, you can play the dreadlords campaign but using da or toa ruleset iirc, but no dreadlords game itself - so savegames won't be compatibile. but, as i've been told, youcan use cheats to advance to proper scenario in a new game.
fdlu - latest (and afaik final) vanilla gc2 version is 1.53.136 and no, it's still impossible to register eu in impulse so no 2.0 yet:(
