How often do I bring up the option screen during a game? Basically, never. How often do I want to close an active window? Rough guess: >1000x. And there are already two ways to bring up the option screen: F8 & menu via mouse. So the escape key is, how should I say, slightly redundant. Please, please. please make the escape key 'close active window' again.
