Oops? Good/Evil problem in Game Talk GalCiv2 Forums

So I did the research where you get to pick your good/neutral/evil allignment. I wanted to come consult the forums to see what people had to say. So at the selection screen I hit ESC. Saved, exited. When I went back into the game, I can't see anyway to get my option to pick back. Any ideas? Or did I just make a screwup and need to start over? Thanks in advance.
