I think that there could be times during player's turn where certain things could be calculated. One of those things is the design of ships. Since it is time consuming, it is done once every year which is once every 52 turns. There are some screens where a player only reads from screan (weekly report, technology researched...) and even if a player does not read it, it takes maybe even 1-2 second until a player starts doing something. During that time, computer could design new ships and this thi
Doomfest, can you post details of you computer? The more the better. Thanks.
My 2 cents: You can look at it as lost production/research, or you could think of this in a way that all ship gain another turn of movement. Since the time is not moving forward, I more think the second thing is more true at least for me.
I found out, that the more I see the slower the framerate it gets. I start a game and I have in average 30 FPS. But after I either build several ships with 15 parsecs scanner range or I build "eyes of the universe" achievment, the FPS drops to less then 10. On a medium map at end of the game I am finishing with having 3 FPS in average and all this is with anti-aliasing turned off. Also I found out the more of the galaxy is visible, the more memory the game eats up, though I never have a problem
