Is spending tons of money to extend your colony rush as long and far as posible the only way to win on higher difficulty levels? There seem to be plenty of different play styles, but to extend your self dry and then make up for it in trade seems to be the strongest start overall. How much does asteroids and different environments change the first phase of the game?

When I tried to launch the game again to take a screen shot with Fraps, the issue was resolved... it was odd, but very welcomed. Then I also upadated my video drivers, and it still works, and maybe a little smoother. Id like to thank you guys for an interest in helping me out.
Well, I pressed printscreen a few times. Is there an folder that they go to that Im missing? Or is there some other way to take screen shots? Im sorry, Ive never taken one before.
So, I've completed a lot of games on challenging. Won some, and lost some. I think that from what I've read that I'm going to have to get off to a better start than I do in order to compete at higher levels. And now with asteroids and research helping you colonize an extra planet some times, I think I should revise what I do. First planet you get, do you split it up, like 2-3 factories, 2-3 labs, 1-2 moral ect? How important is it to specialize planets? Like, should I
This is what was in that file. This is DA by the way. This is me starting the game over and over hoping it would fix itself. TY for your help Kryo! Ok, so I dont know if a debug script would catch this kinda thing, but here goes an attempted explaination. In game, the Hud textures are all scrambled. This extends to the quarter report screen or similar windows in game. I played for a few hours today after I bought it. It was fine untill I stopped, came back and reloaded. Ive tried restarting game and PC, but are there graphic options that affect this? Would a Debugger even help this, with it not being a cr
If this is True... You will be notified via email when Galactic Civilizations II - Dark Avatar [CD Pre] is available What posible reason would I not have recieved an email? it is available... Man, I wish that I hadn't checked the site tonight now.
Ok, TY. I'll attempt both of those suggestions. Is the DA serial # same as PreOrder Reference #? It said that I would receive another email, but have not. says this Your pre-order for Galactic Civilizations II - Dark Avatar [CD Pre] has been received. You will be notified via email when Galactic Civilizations II - Dark Avatar [CD Pre] is available. I have not got another email. Has there been a mistake, or are they still sending them out?
I wanna play soo bad. I havnt figured it out yet. Was there a Different stardock acct created when we used her email to purchace it? I imagine the system confuses a lot of people that dont do this sort of thing often. Im certainly scrathing my head and a little frustrated at the moment.
Thanks Vamphaery, but no dice so far. The email I have recieved (on my Girlfriend's email addy) says there will be another email when the game is ready, and I have recieved none. I wonder if I created another stardock acct when I ordered the game with her email addy or something...
Check, Im wearing her clothes. But the expansion still wont DL. When I pre-ordered the game, did it create a Stardock Central acct for her that will have the DL available?
I purchased DA a week or so ago, and recieved the email that has the Pre-Order Ref # on it. When Im in StarDock Central, I can only "purchase" the game, no DL option for it. I did this on my girlfriend's email address. What do I do so that I can start the DL?
You download the game using Stardock Central; DA appears there as a module for GC2 (click the [+] by GC2 to find it).
I see it there, but there is only a purchase option. And I purchased it a week or so ago. See? I cant even quote right... so computer illiterate >.<
Ok, so I pre-ordered this game a few days ago, and I've been charged. Could some one pls Instruct me where to start the DL? Ive scanned the email, but may have been to excited grasp what to do next... or I missed it some other time.
Reply #5, I also feel this way. But I would like something risk-ish or something. Anyone remember Warsong on Genesis? As it is the flashing numbers remind me of The Price is Right, or something.
