nother gimp trick, i you build a bunch of transports, with one transport module and fill them, and then upgrade them to have multiple transport modules, they remain full.....

happen to have a widescreen monitor? my best friend had the same problem because he has a widescreen monitor. If so edit the Prefs file in my documents/games/galciv2 folder look for displayheight= and displaywidth = and change them to match the resolution on your monitor. I'm sure in one of these updates they will make it deal with widescreen monitors automatically but till then its a minor edit with notepad.

Fleet upgrade exploit in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

So I discovered this little exploit and figured i'd post it up so maybe it can get fixed. Want a huge scary fleet fast? Build a ton of empty hulls. I did this with Huge hulls, set all your planets to build them. Empty hulls have zero upkeep costs. When some poor unsuspecting race attacks you, go design a nicy shiny battleship of the same size as that hull. Now go back to your empty hulls, pop one out of spacedock, and upgrade it. Thats not really what i was asking. There are two listings when you go to buy the game. They are both $44.99. One is with a box shipped to you and the other is without. I don't care much about the box. I want to be sure I'm ordering the CE. I'm only asking because while the box pictured is the CE box, the description mentions it nowhere. If you download the normal version and have to wait for the box to show up to get the CE then that defeats the purpo
