Still Needs: Catagory Class A I'd like all games to feature Richer Universes. Imho PQ's of under 15 just cannot sustain a decent population for the tax revenues needed to support an infrastructure that will provide the essential economic, scientific, industrial and agricultural production capacity, entertainment and defence requirem

The short answer is 'no' because it never happened in V1.95 ( the version I downloaded when I purchaed "Twilight"). I could try that but I much prefer my own race, the "Solarians", as I've stated before I prefer a more colonialization (English) style of game building up to a war of allies with self-designed "Capital" grade Spacecraft on an Immense or Gigantic map. :HOT: It somehow just rang a bell with me that in V1.96 the change log states somewhere that it fixed the bug w

[quote] I hope the espionage thing is that you can just place spies that let you gather Intel and do not disable anything and are harder to nullify since there just on recon missions. Seems like their saboteurs not spies right now. It would be cool if you could target generic stuff too like overall production or more important moral through a propaganda program might effect how the people of another race see you.[/quote] I definitely agree with this 1000%. I believe in one game I played,

I think the easiest way for you to solve this is to browse through then read the appropriate entry in the "Tech-Tree" XML-File. It may sound a bit daunting to a beginer but as long as you can navigate in WindowsExplorer [Not InternetExplorer] you should be okay. Open WindowsExplorer. Click on 'Computer', then on 'Local Disk'. If you installed "GC2" in the default directory, click on that directory (or whichever directory you installed the games in). Click on 'Twilight', then on the s

The above "Starbase Problem" is still there in V1.96. As is the unavailability of the "Galactic Stock Exchange" Galactic Wonder after I've researched the Advanced Trade Tech. Perhaps no-one else has played as an "Independent/Self-Created" "Minor-Race Tech-Tree" Civilization to find these "bugs" / Game-Features ? OOps, sorry you're not Microsoft are you :d ! Please don't say it's because my games are all "Sandbox Style" with edited (Custom-Race, Custom Planets and Im

I meant to submit this"fault" before, on the comments on the last upgrade but couldn't decide where to send it [there or bugs-forum] so here it is. Haven't tried a game with 1.96 yet, but in 1.95 whenever I created a starbase it always asked me three times ( same message every time ) whether I wanted to create the starbase to mine a Resource ! If I remember it always said I had Zero Starbases no matter how many I had.

Maybe I am a stupid Englishman, but I think you have to register your serial numbers for every GC2 game at StardockCentral, which I am still using for downloads. You do need a StardockCentral 'account' name and password to do this but is not difficult to create these using the Games Page rather than the "news" or whatever default page you happen to arrive at which welcomes you to StardockCentral. Once you have registered your game serial numbers, you should be able to Update to your hearts con

any liklihood of a progress report ? priorities change and Stardock now seems more of a publisher than games developer and I was wondering how this is affecting development of "Society". So for the next year, until the beta-tests were originally pencilled-in, I'm happy with Twillight, but for variety and as an introduction to gain some experience in MMORPG play I'm trying-out www.wurmonline.com, which seems to be the closest substitute.

Having played DA with Tec-Trading disabled as well as enabled, both in sandbox mode, with a custom race without the superspy ability with espionage set at 1% or 2%, I have found that : Your first spy takes ages to appear but as you expand territory and economic ability, they appear quicker, but they soon get nullified by any opposition. I now presume it must be tied in with the fact of espionage

I agree with Dan Greene, especially because sometimes the motion voted on doesn't tie in with what's happening at the particular stage of a game e.g. voting on say whether to arm transports when it's much too early in the game for anyone to have researched that technology. I think in general the AI of the UP process needs inproving, perhaps on the turn before there could be given a choice of motions to be voted on?

Also the fortunes of war should play a role in your race's morale. If you are doing well your moral goes up and if you are losing it goes down; surely losing key planets (homeworld, capitals, and high PQ planets) should lower your morale." I

If you did alter things, wouldn't it be cheating ? Surely what you'd want ideally would be the ability to transfer the bonus between Tiles and increase the bonus value ? What I'd like for non-MV games is the ability to add Tiles to Planets, you always run out of useful Tiles, especially when you have to colonize a 4 or 5 PQ class planet, 'cause you know the opposition will if you don't and you'll suffer from their influence in your sta

I think V1.1 Update has gone someway towards meeting your desires Moberemk, as you can now update/modify the 'Core Ships'. Personally I think all the Core Ships are useless. A Flagship with no Weapons? A Scout with no Sensors and a Feeble move-rating? Combat Vessels that only have One category of Attack and Defence ? And some of the Modules available for your imagination to come to terms with in the Shipyard. I'm pa

I like the idea of a slider to choose the incidence of Random Events. Good candidacy for becoming a requested feature for V1.2 implementation perhaps. Trouble with them really is that they become repetitive, particularly when colonising having landed on a new planet. Even if they're not repetitive, they seem so because they're rehashes of GC1 content. Not that they're Bad, but just some fresher new situations would provide mo

Thanks Lintman but the Version 1.0 screenshots I have are : The first one of the 'Planet Improvement' screen that highlights a Tile and shows the bonus of the Tile but still shows the 'normal' value for that Improvement; and, The Second Screenshot that shows the summary screen over the faded above screen, where the particular bonus is not reflected in the total for those types of improvements, there is just the total o

Two things I'd like to see : Firstly, an opportunity to have the latest Up-date Release despatched by CD for a fairly minimal cost. ( I do not wish to afford Broadband, I consider it too insecure.) Secondly, as a new feature; the ability to scan-into the game an image for use as the "Face" of my race on the Race Selection screen. All automated so that I don't have to worry about the pixel-size and format reqwuired for

Thanks for the feedback. Because of my Dial-up connection I'm limited to V1.0, and perhaps its just a display bug for the non-adjustment of outputs but I have screen-shots of where these bonuses don't seem to work; Unfortunately, my 1920x1200 resolution has made these screen-shots about 100Mb's each, but I wouldn't know where to send them to anyway.

Everybody always wants Military Production ! But you don't always need it on a Planet, Especially when you haven't built the Starport yet, in which case, without a Starport there can be No military production. So, I'd like to be able to transfer the production to Social builds or to Research, and have the option of the unused Military Production converted into Cash ( X amount of bc. per week)[for that Rush-build you need].

I have found the opposite sometimes, that after conquering a planet no 'auto-updating' occurs even though my Tech Advances should allow them. However when I have conquered and 'auto-updating' has gone into action, if I want to replace an improvement (when there are too many of a specific type), I have found the matter resolved by clicking on the unwanted improvement, then going to its highlighted entry in the build-queue and then

It annoyed me too, that you can't do something the AI tells you to do, and I couldn't fathom just which Tech you'd have to research to enable 'Advanced Espionage' (Xeno Ethics, perhaps?). So I resigned myself to Trading with them; and then building up my Diplomacy skills to the max so that I can rob them blind of money and bolster my Influence points by trading Techs that they probably won't use or trade-on. Or sometimes I just i

The only Tile-Bonuses that appear to work (in Version 1.0) are the Food bonuses. Other Tiles Bonuses (i.e. for Production, Science/Research, and Influence) do not make any difference to the points for each appropriate category. Some Tiles show bonus for "Approval" improvements; would this affect 'happiness' or 'morale' improvements ? As yet I have not found any specifically labelled "Approval" improvements.
