I'll ask again. How can I delete custom factions? I cant delete them using right click like I can with sovereigns, and I can't find any file to delete in the game folders.
The files are stored in C:\Documents and Settings\default\My Documents\My Games\Elemental\Race at least for WinXP not sure about others tho also the custom units and sovereign's are in C:\Documents and Settings\default\My Documents\

The idea is rather simple have a chance tied into monster spawn's to instead spawn a goodie pile, notable location or quest. The adventure tree could allow for higher level piles, locations and quest's to spawn as well as possibly having a rare research that increased the chance, the basic premise here is that people are going to keep losing, finding or wanting things and possibly ask you to deal with it. It would also give us a good reason to keep exploring and battling monster's to
I was just wondering do quest, notable or goodies have a chance to spawn other than with adventure research ? I had thought that it was setup so that there was a chance for them to spawn every turn same as monster's and such but I don't see that happening which I find rather odd.
Usually when I begin I end up starting a new game until there is a decent starting set of resources around me I like to have at least fertile land, ore mine, gold mine and if possible a library of course more or better stuff is welcome as well but that seems to get things going nicely. If your sovereign has any of the talents that give arcane or tech research every turn open the spell/tech book and make a selection first thing, the spell research will kick-in and tell you to pick some
You actually can kind of.... if you look below the level up message on the bottom left side of the screen you should be able to see the current stats of the city. Sometimes tho this bug's out and displays nothing or unit production, I defiantly agree tho it would be nice if there was a display on the actual message that showed the city's current tech. arcane. and gildar production as well as the bonus's from previous upgrades as well as any boosting buildings present.
A few of the ones in the op are a bit off from what I have seen : Ctrl+R = Research everything Ctrl+M = Give 1000 Resources Ctrl+U = Reveal Map [2nd time brings fog back] Ctrl+T = Teleport selected unit/group to cursor Ctrl+P = Grant selected unit/group's leader enough xp to instantly level Ctrl+E = Research current spell [I believe Ctrl+Q does the same] Ctrl+B = Complete que'd buildings in selected City Ctrl+J = C
I was just thinking it would be kind of cool if there were quests that gave access to new technology you can't typically research. For instance you do the quest and as a reward they teach you another hidden stage of the archery tree or other things like that or even special spells and such it would just add more flavor and make actively doing quests more interesting instead of just parking your sovereign in a city and waging war late game.
I had the same problem with my credit card not working, customer support told me that the verification most company's use is insanely strict so basically if you have a misplaced capital, space or comma or anything different it will reject it. This is really problematic when the way data is imputed for the card is odd, I was told my only option was basically to try entering my shipping data differently until it hit the right combination and worked (don't do this I have like $50 of the mini-tra
1 - Out of memory error fixed 2 - Better spawning of resources on start 3 - More options in editors for #1 aside from the bug the thing I would actually like to see most is a quick start new game with current options thing so you could keep randomly generating until you had a decent starting spot. for #2 it would be nice if you started or had the option to start in a place with at least 5x5 tiles open to build and at least one food, metal, gold,
Firstly thank you for taking the time to read this and I love this game these are just some things that I think would fix some of the occasionaly irritating parts as well as add some more flavour. Arranged marriage screen : Show Bride & Groom selected (for those who would rather not marry their children off to some hideous creature also would be nice if it showed their stats so you could be a bit more selective of trait's and such) <strong
Since you are taking questions. I was wondering if you could add what the different bonuses from champions and buildings affect and actually do ie. "Increases production of settlement by 10%" [of what exactly ? research, metal, gold, crystals, building speed excreta...]
I forget where its from but here ya go :) Build a man a fire and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.
I was thinking that in order to make Starbases a little more useful without overpowering them a good option would be to give the base a option to drop a beacon in any connected gravity well, while this beacon is active any enemy fleet taking the phase lane between the base and it will have there course corrupted and be forced to come out of phase space at the beacon. This would most likely make it more likely for the attacker to deal with the starbase instead of bypassing it
I'm not sure about most of those however I think the Resurrection ability lets you pretty much give the levels of one destroyed cap ship to another. I think Guidance affects weapons cooldowns as well not to sure about that tho. Anima Tempest I seem to remember it fielding a few extra fighter craft / bombers and I think it lasts for the full cooldown time. Most of the disabling ability's also seem to disable the targets regeneration as well which can be useful depending on the target. Stabilize P
I am not sure if it has been suggested else where but their are a few improvements I would like to see not sure how feasible they are however. The first would be the ability to set a target and cast priority for abilities for instance Rapture battle cruiser I would like to prioritize it to auto cast vengeance on the Radiance Battleship or the Progenitor to always attempt to keep enough anti-matter in reserve to fire off a shield regen when needed kind of thing. The other would be the ability to
I am not sure about the others typically I box in fleets before I send in my force to wipe them out and honestly I have yet to have problems with pirates since I started the game the usual key blockade systems seem to do a fine job. As to the reduction in number of crystal and metal asteroids I don't really like it much either I would have actually liked a increase in the cost of everything and possibly more of the asteroids in system's. Granted my internet connection sucks so I only play single
I am not sure what the cause is or how to fix it properly but I know I was having a similar problem before I even got the game where windows would run some Helpsvc.exe service and go insane and use 100% and like all my memory which kept causing program crashes and other obvious irritations. I found a temp fix for it from some site forget which where you go into control panel, administrative tools, services and disable help and support and its auto-run option the only problem is that th
Advent for me - Cleansing Brilliance reminds me of the good old anime style mega gun blowing everything away with Malice it's even cooler :)
I don't know about other one's but the ebgames in my area is supposed to be getting the CE in around the 23rd it's in B.C. so we should see in a couple days. :) at least thats when they said the pre-order of it I have should be in might be why tho.
I'm not completely sure how it functions haven't been able to get my copy of the game yet sadly but I was watching a video forget the post's there in but the links to em are somewhere in the forum's and it seemed to boost the spread of your culture alot when used on one of your own planets as a target which did seem fairly useful to me but once again not really sure since I haven't played yet. I seem to remember reading somewhere that it gives friendly units in the sector a boost or something as
I kinda hope eventually they will release a strategy guide. I usually don't even get them for the strategy's but it's fun to read the ever amusing quotes they tend to include and the sweet looking art and lore can make for a nice evening read when you can't sleep because of all the game related ideas eating at yer brain :) .
Found http://www.maximumpc.com/article/sins_of_a_solar_empire_and_me_a_story_of_addiction_heartache_and_true_love today :)
From what I have read so far (still waiting on ebgames to get my copy :SNIFF!: ) the old version sounds like it was horribly overpowered and the new sounds kinda underpowered but as I have said I haven't got to play yet so can't really comment one way or another but for some reason when ever I read about it I can't help thinking how cool it would be if a happy medium was struck where the PJI became a cannon that fire's X amount of shots at any random target's attempting to phase jump within its
Awesome thanks for fast replies too :)
Hello sorry to bother everyone and not sure if this is right section for this question but does either collectors edition or regular come with a paper version of the manual or are both only including pdf files ? Mostly wondering since I'm not really a fan of pdf's. Also sorry if this has already been posted I couldn't seem to find any info on it.
