Thanks for the driver link. It didn't seem to work What I find stange (and I was hoping someone would have some idea about) is that it all worked after updating the game and before the reboot, and that it stopped working after the reboot. I have never encountered such behaviour before....
Hi... Unfortunately, its one of those nasty laptop video drivers. The standard NVidia driver doesn't work, and they tell me to go to dell to get drivers from there. When I do, the latest ones I can find are 2 years old. So, as far as I can determine, I'm running the latest video/sound drivers that exist for my chipset
I had a problem with the previous beta (beta 4 I think) not playing nice with my video card. So this morning, I wake up to a joyous new beta, download install, run, happy happy happy, everything works. Then I shutdown the pc, wander off and do some real world stuff, come back, and, horror of horrors, whenever I start the game, all I get is a black screen... any ideas? The debug.err says: Debug Message: Version v1.1 BET
